Cloyster is underrated. It has god tier physical defense and with skill link it's surprisingly powerful. Also gets access to one of the better set up moves in the game, shell smash. Love the design as well.
Only downside is the low special deffense and the slow speed. 7/10

Escavalier is pretty cool cause its type is pretty unusual (Bug/Steel) and its a decent physical attacker. The design is super cool, it looks like a Beedrill with a set of iron armor.

Overall : 7/10 just because its not an amazing pokemon for pvp since its gonna be super weak against fire type (4x damage multiplier since bug and steel are both weak to fire)

I really like Skarmory. His design is awesome, and he has moves like Spikes for you competitive people. He has a unique typing, Steel/Flying. It's Speed and Attack are really good, too. 8/10

Eh, i don't really use Normal types other than Snorlax so I don't really know much about Ursaring. I mean it has a fairly high base attack stats so its gonna be a pretty radical physical attacker. Design wise, it looks pretty cool, like it face is pretty intimidating, but i dont really like the looks of those wimbly jingly fur on its arms tho xD

What is there to say about that people don't already know really. It's the most versatile of all Pokemon having 120 base every in stat, can learn any TM and on top of that knows some powerful moves including Judgement which works great with its ability to change into virtually any type thanks to the use of plates. You can make him a tank, a sweeper, all rounder, staller, set up... Just about anything. He gets a 10/10 for the versatility alone.

Gastrodon is pretty gucci, like its a Water/Ground type which makes the Water moves not super effective (since ground is weak against water) and, it makes electric moves does absolutely nothing to it (since electric moves doesn't affect ground at all) i mean cmon now, its a water type and its a bane of electric existence, you didn't see that kind of pokemon really often, plus, it has a pretty cool design, and cute too...

I love Squirtle. It's adorable and it's a water type Pokemon, which is a huge plus in the original games where you have to face Brock out of the gate, so I got used to loving Squirtle early on. 8/10

Pichu is pretty cool. It evolves into the mascot of the entire series, which makes it better. Stat-wise, it's not so good, but that's only because it's a baby Pokemon. And if we're being honest, it's one of my favorite baby Pokemon. 7/10

I don't like Incineroar. He's not terrible but definitely the worst out of the new starters.

He's slow as all hell (slower than Emboar lol), and he doesn't hit as hard as I'd expect him to. Not to mention that for some reason they made him stand up instead of staying on 4 paws. Typing also isn't ideal.
