HELLO guys im here to discuss the terrible terrible drug yes porn is basically a drug. what it does is tell your brain come on watch more come back please come back watch more this is the signal you get you watch one video .then you start watching others then you start watching freaky porn. then even passed . that the best way to deal with this if you are addicted is to delete all porn from your computer. throw away dvds magazines burn them . pray cry out to god scream for help pray alot. and if you dont want to discuss this with a human then discuss it with your cat/dog. this might sound weird but it works my cat listened to me. but if you can and got the balls to talk to a adult do that that. its so affective i mean i didn't talk to adult but still dosent mean you dont have to. and kids who haven't watched porn naked women do not start its the most foul thing ever you wont even notice your doing anything bad till like a year later when youve seen and noticed the full effects this is addictive and disgusting. stick to video games chilling masturbation is OK but do not watch porn!.

It's nice of you to tell people about that... but it is somewhat... "adult" to talk about this in a forum with, like alexanyways said, 10 year olds haha. They probably wouldn't even know what some of the stuff is but that won't stop them from looking it up...(don't even think about it kids) and then what happens? then it'll be like how you said, they might get hooked or something. So... maybe, just maybe this isn't such a good idea.

Porn actually is not really a drug its a business. Prostitution is probably one of the oldest businesses in the world I recall. Masterbating however can be considered an addiction but that does not really make it a drug addiction. If I like playing video games that does not make me a drug addict... so same rules would apply here.

That is fine if people are obsessed with porn just as long as they don't go overboard with their addictions and assult and rape humans over it. It's like playing GTA and then going out and shooting people in same manor. Just as long as you keep it in fantasy land it should be fine.

And also, I don't think people have the right to judge others for their addictions. Just because someone has a porn addiction does not make them bad because I'm sure everyone on earth has an addiction of some sort whether it would be playing video games, working out, following religion, eating food, etc... everyone has an addiction of some sort.

The only bad addiction is a hardcore addiction where you do not have enough to satisfy you, meaning you will go to any length to fulfill your addiction whether it would be shooting someone, robbing a store for money, shooting up heroin cause pills dont do the job, or in this case rape or sexual assult...

You know, I basically agree with what Jigsaw said.

People can develop porn addictions that affect their lives in a negative way. It can end up affecting your relationships, even non-romantic ones. If you watch porn around your children that is a form of abuse. I have heard of these kind of things on shows like Maury and Dr. Phil... I believe there are such things as "porn rehab". However I don't think this is overly-common, especially when compared to the vast audience that porn has that is not addicted to it at all.

I really dont think this should be discussed here on vizzed, but i agree with JigSaw. Everyone is addicted to something, its those that hurt others because of addiction that are bad.

I think porn could be classified as too much of a good thing for some people. I think for the average person a look here and there isn't going to kill anyone.... kind of like alcohol, food and many other things. However, get obsessed with the stuff and go overboard in your consumption of it and it does major damage.


Although, I do remember hearing/reading somewhere that the overwhelming majority of divorce cases (that were "studied) the husband admitted to viewing pornography on a regular basis prior to the divorce being decided on. Although, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that if you're getting a divorce that the problem started before porn and porn is just the result of your marriage falling apart.... but I can't really know for sure.

JigSaw : being addicted to to much of anything isn't good being addicted to gta made my curse more being addicted to soda made me sick and gave me headaches being addicted to porn made me alittle crazy.

95jake1 : well, gta may make you WANT to cuss more, but there is personal responsibility in it as well. Porn may have made you feel different or maybe even have different thoughts on some things, but again there is personal responsibility not to let it control you, its like if i have 1 or 2 drinks at a bar i may feel like having more, but i need to take responsibility for myself and know when i have had enough for now and not let alcohol control me.

what research? I'd be interested to see where you heard that.

Cause I'm willing to bet that heroin or nicotine addicts might disagree with you.


I heard somewhere else that only about 1/5 of people that use a substance (not something as addictive as heroin or nicotine) actually get addicted. The rest can generally stop without too much effort. But porn might be different which is why I want to see said research.

95jake1 : I disagree, porn maybe be considered bad by some people, but i wouldn't say its worse than a lot of things. People hurt people emotionally and physically when one some drugs or alcohol (sometimes). I have never heard of porn making anyone leave their families or abusing their loved ones, or making someone steal to feed their addiction. In my opinion, there are A LOT worse things in the world than porn.

I honestly don't think it's all that bad. It prevents the consumer from getting diseases, etc. because there's no human interaction, but it's also kind of bad if it's being viewed by fanatics with obsessive behaviors.

It's not like drugs, alcohol or even a crime, so as long as it's in moderation then it's not really all that harmful.

I would say porn works like a drug. Once you have whiff of it your body craves it more and more each time you get it. The only difference I see between porn and other drugs is that porn is a more psychological addiction whereas drugs like cigarettes and alcohol are more physical addictions.
