Well,i've spectated a soccer match lately,but the only thing i heard were those annoying vuvuzela's!
I think they are bad for the game,the concentration of the players and the worst thing of all: you get DEAF of it!


So please tell how you think about vuvuzela's.

UGH. Those horns are super annoying. D: Wicked obnoxious. It sounds like a bunch of bees flying when all of them go on at once in the soccer bleachers.

A Vuvuzela is a stadium horn that random people blow into to make a weird, annoying sound, to "support" the team.

It's annoying. I can't say anything nice about 100 of them being in the same place. I think that it's a torture method fans use on the team to scare tham into winning. "If you don't win, I'm gonna play a horn!"

Check THAT button on youtube for the "annoyingness" we are talking about, because that wiki button is just one, which does not make it annoying.

what's not to like? At least you're not in the stadium listening to it. You get to have the announcers drown out the noise for you

I for one like stuff like this. Let people be excited about their team and about the game. This isn't really hurting anyone

I am watching the Ghana v Uruguay match now and it is crazy, there are loads more of them when the African teams play, I suppose they are alright whilst the world cup is on i just hope they fade and die when the football season begins though...

It might sound annoying, but at least it shows that the people are supporting the team. Who knows, in the tournament going on now, someone might lose it and go crazy. That would be interesting if that happened.

I've never actually heard a vuvuzela up close and in person, but if it encourages team spirit and drives players to perform better, than I'm for 'em. However, I've heard it might be driving 'em up a wall, instead.

I did swim team for my last 3 years of high school. I think it was my junior year championship that we got those horns. They boys championship was in the morning. The coach refused to let the girls show up early in the morning to cheer for us (he wanted them to get some sleep). When they did arrive, they just appeared in the stands (raised up from the deck) and started cheering. We went from the quietest team (we didn't have many people) to the loudest.

So after our meet we felt sorta like we owed them. We went to iParty and got face paint, those horns, and some other stuff. We got lunch, went back, painted our faces, and joined the audience. We blew all of our horns at once. Some of the people in th audience were surprised by the noise, but our team and coach loved it.

What was the downside you ask? The ref got mad. She almost disqualified the girls team because of it (so we stopped). The best thing about that? It gave the coach something good to talk about at the banquet. He actually saw the ref's face and thought it was hilarious.
