I'm starting to really hate Facebook. Nobody ever leaves me alone! And yeah people, I made a Farmville account before I figured out how mind-killing it actually is. So I quit Farmville for good. Stop sending me junk!

There's my rant. Now for my question.

Has this ever happened to you?

nope. I don't play facebook games. They suck the soul out of you

There is a way to block farmville stuff. I've managed to do it. And nearly all other facebook games. And every new one that comes along I block it too. If I wanted to play a game I would play one. I don't want annoying game messages popping up taking the space of real updates that people might be doing.

Yeah, I hate getting all of those invites. I have 84 Farmville invites, 13 or so asking me to help them in PetVille, 12 invites for Happy Aquarium, and 10 or so that are completely mixed.

I played this cafe game for about three days before I realized that was all I ever did on Facebook. Also, this cafe game had no pause button, so while I was sleeping which is, you know, something humans have to do in order to not die, I would run out of food and lose points. After I finally figured out losing points in a stupid restaurant game was all I did there, I stopped going to Facebook.

I actually heard about someone who broke up with her boyfriend because he spent a ton of her Farmville money on expanding her farm.

Crawldragon : That's why I cook stuff that takes like 24 hours, so it'll be done while I'm awake again. I always check the time before starting . And that girl is sad, really.

Even when I quit farmville, I still get presents and gifts from my friends. It can really get annoying after awhile.

It's why you block the game, then it cannot send you anything at all, and then when a friend playing Farmville posts and update you can click on the top right corner of their update and it brings up the option to hide Farmville. Select it and viola, no more Farmville!

You know what also annoys me? When I ignore the same person requesting to join Farmville and they just keep coming back, sending me requests. It's so freaking annoying

I dont get on social networking sites much, I have a facebook and a myspace, but I only check them for show updates or to see if someone wants to book my band, but I hate getting on and have 143 updates, requests, and gifts from games I want NOTHING to do with. It gets pretty aggravating. Even if i block a game, people tend to find other games to bother me with. Gr.

Cyro Xero : If I told everybody what my name was, then I'd have a huge pile of friend requests, and I don't want that from Facebook, a site that lost it's luster to me a long time ago.

No spam/pointless requests please (a.k.a neighbor requests for any of the soul-stealing games/applications).

However if you PM me first, and I like you enough Lol, I will tell you my Facebook junk and Myspace junk and AIM account (if you got one, Yahoo doesn't work for me) if you want any of it.

For any who already know any of my account information to any site, I formally request that you do not disclose any of that information unless you get my permission first. I hate it when random people know stuff about me that is personal and/or private.

geeogree : They sure do man, my mom is hooked on farmville. She'll be on the phone and I'll walk by and she is having conversations about farmville!!!! Talking about what items she needs and what not.

that's so sad. I spend a lot of time on the internet, but I try to spend it doing something useful....

Facebook games are not useful in my world

I greatly dislike Facebook games, maybe there flash just fails.

I don't use Facebook....
It's sucking the lifes out of my friends....... I want to keep a paart of my life(well what's left of it)

Farmville...is just stupid.

iceape8 : Yeah, facebook is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING, but many people (even strangers) seems to spend most of their time wasting their lives on facebook, I thought a phone call or something would do almost all the REASONABLE things you can do on facebook (updates), although I think it is good to update more then 3 peeps.

Oh, and when I played farm-ville, I quit the 1st 10-20 mins, such a boring, nothing to do, game.

I dunno why it is fun, almost every popular game on the internet needs you to pay to get the good things, but is it worth it (in runescape maybe, but I never made a full member account, runescape was actually fun) ?


I don't play MMOs often, but my favorite is runescape and maplestory (South east Asia).

P.S : I think we are living in the age of stupid and pointless lives, people rather take care of their farm in farmville and get mad if someone messes it up badly (similar to what crawldragon said) then help pick up litter in the park, or help recycle that bottle in that recycle bin 5 steps away rather then throw it in the bin that is only next to you
