I never hate it when my food touches together. I mean when the mash potato and gravy gets together with the chicken, I don't mind, but it gets messy. The same thing with mac and cheese, but sometimes, I get myself one from KFC, and I just scarf it down. The same thing with colesaw, I just put it in a cup or bowl.  Same thing with corn and the gravy, I don't really mind it at all.
I guess that you are like very picky, a little bit proud, very clean like Adrien from Monk. He is very clean and tidy of what he do, very organized. But for me, I really don't mind, but there are some limitations. I cannot tell any examples though, but there are just some stuff that don't mix.

First: Grapes with mac and cheese? Oranges with french fries? And here I was, thinking I ate weird food combinations.
I really couldn't care less, for the most part. I'm the kind of person who will mix his entire thanksgiving dinner together and eat it like that. It's all going to the same place anyway, and there's nothing keeping them separate in your stomach, so why worry?

Food touching other food doesnt really bother me cause your going to eat it all anyways. Unless they are totally different foods like chocolate and and meat, in that case it would bother me but when in the world will you have those two things on the same plate anyways. -------------------- |

I mean it dosen't matter as much when the food goes together, but when you have two completely different foods coliding, then it just gets weird and annoying and messes up your taste buds.

no offense intended, but kids and picky eaters are the only ones who have problems with that. Picky eaters are really kids who never finished that stage in their development... I love it when my foods mix. You will never find true taste sensations without getting over the picky thing.

Haha! I knew what this thread was about right when I saw it. I just visioned a bunch of people making sour faces at their dinner plates with food touching other foods. My sister was (maybe still is) like that a long time ago. WOULD NOT allow any food to touch, or she wouldn't eat it. I personally have only a few limitations on "touching foods". I don't like cranberries or it's juice, for example, to slide or leak toward the other foods on the same plate during Thanksgiving. Putting something sweet with the stuffing or turkey or squash isn't right with me. Plus, I really do not like the idea of anything getting soggy due to it soaking in the cranberry juice. Blegh!

I absolutely hate my foods touching. Whenever things combine on my plate I just completely lose my appetite. I used to be fine with it but ever since I ate a pickle that was accidentally covered in ketchup, the fact that I was standing over a toilet for 2 hours convinced me to separate my food. Im a neat freak, I have all my dvd's alphabitized, I clean my entire room top to bottom every morning, I even seperate all my change. And being uneased that your food is touching another kind of food sounds clinically insane to me, so yea......
