I would say it's Megaman, not x, I just can't seem to get used to other Megaman versions! Like the battle network one, too, I can't consider him as Megaman!
I do have to say this, Zero is the best character in megaman!

Megaman is better than Megaman X because I couldn't get used to the controls for X. The classic Megaman controls were straight forward simple, which I like Plus, I think that the Megaman music is better than the X music.

Between the two I would have to say that X is better because he can charge his copied powers, wear powerful armor, and is faster. Zero definitely beats both Megaman and X with his almighty Z Saber and refusal to die he is far more resilient than any robot or reploid.

Mega Man X was released around the same time as Mega Man 7, I'd say, for sure Mega Man X was better. Though if you were gaming when the first Mega Man was released, then the original has more of a nostalgic factor.

But in light of this, I still can't say that the original is better in comparison to the upgrades of X .
