Ok, so IGN did another one of their "Top 100" lists. And usually, I don't really have too much of a problem with their lists, but this one really bothers me. While I guess the number 1 can be debatable, there are a couple of things that really annoy on this list.
1. Where the heck is Ridley?
2. Why is Kefka 18th and not in the top 10?
3. Why is Sephiroth in the top 10 but Kefka isn't? lol
4. Why is there random races of villains instead of everyone being a specific person?
5. Why is Tom Nook in this list?
6. Some people that are ahead of some favorites are so dumb that I don't know why they're even in the list in the first place.
I think this list has some major flaws... This list would make more sense if it was "100 iconic or famous villains, but not Top 100 Videogame Villains of ALL TIME. *sigh*...

I think that some (not all but some) of the more comic villains should have placed lower on the list. I also think Lavos and Shang Tsung should have gotten higher spots. I am happy with Ganon's placement as he would be my personal #1 (I also like that he beat out Sephiroth). As for Ridley? Sure. He's definitely a better pick than Mario (one non-memorable game shouldn't account for a spot on the list). BTW, I think it was clever of them to include groups like Nazis and Zombies. They just forgot one important group...

I pay no attention to these "lists" because they are just popularity contests, not a true measure of anything like, in this instance, how much of a villan they are.
The list even admits "the nemesis from Final Fantasy VI, Kefka, could be considered a more devious villain" then Sephiroth.
The only reason that he is 4th is because of the fan base.
This is ovbvious by stupid things like Wario being in a higher spot the badasses like Kain or the Lich King.
And Team Rocket are more villanous then Magus, Nemesis or Diablo?!

Well, I guess it depends on what a person thinks, which is why these are not what you might agree with. In short, they were voted by people like you and me, but obviously they differ in opinions. (And obviously I don't agree with the results).

Tom Nook is probaly on it bacause of the god dam high morgages you ahve to pay to him

I expected Kefka, Ganondorf, Bowser, Sephiroth, or Wesker to be number one not some robot thing I've never even heard of. I'm dissapointed now. What the crap is a GlaDON anyway?

edit: It should have come down to Ganondorf and Kefka. Both have actually succeeded in conquering the world and both have attained godlike power.

WHAT!? I liked portal and all, but in no way should GlaDOS be number one! I can think of plenty of better villians, such as Kefka or malak(i mean come on, malak destroyed an entire planet to try and kill 1 person!). This list is so rigged.

NOOOO. Kefka is way better than Sephiroth the Mama's boy. He should have been in the top ten. How can someone who looks and acts like The Joker be considered 18th best?

I agree. I think that Kefka should have been higher up on the list, but the list does seem to be arranged according to popularity, and Sephiroth takes the cake on that, because one, he's from the first fully 3D Final Fantasy game, and two, because he's in the same game as Cloud, who's arguably the most popular FF character of all time.

(Me when I was looking though the list) DR ROBOTNIK IS 11 *Clicks Dr willy* TAKE THAT DR WILY, DR ROBOTNIK IS THE REAL ROBOT DR THINGY!!!!


But I disagree with the list a bit, where are the Grox from Spore ? Those Brog like thinys who are half meachine and half living are damn powerful yet you can ally them, everything in the galaxy fears them, unlike Glados, she can't really hurt you while the Grox can come on Earth and wipe out the whole planet.

Why is Death Vader and The Joker on the list ?

And where is the Starfox's Andross, what happened to Sci fi game villains ?

And almost all the main characters of GTA (The ones you are playing as) should be on, they are so awesome one of them invaded a military base and stole a jetpack, another actually killed the mayor of he's country the others are good too, but I have to mansion these too (I know one of them stole a helicopter in a military base too, but that base attack was more..AWESOME )
