I was watching this on Wimp.com and didn't know what to expect, that maybe they were using some sort of device. But after getting to the half-way point I was completely amazed at what these guys were doing- running on water and actually staying up for several steps! I got excited by this and just had to post the link for everybody here. Many people in the past have tried it, using contraptions and such, but these guys do it using nothing more that waterproof shoes. Check this out:

Dang, that looks awesome! I can't imagine people can do that. I was shocked and excited towards the end when the runner went far while running on water.

Thanks Cyro Xero for showing us this video.

Dang, I want to run on water, and this would be fun when playing it with friends.

After watching the video, its gotta be fake. It think they are just running in really shallow water with a sudden drop off to give it the appearance that they can run on water.

I agree with DNG. It looks to me like they're just in a shallow spot.

I have to say it looks fake because you can't actually walk on water.

I see how they are doing it though. You have to pick your feet up continuosly while running in the water to not allow yourself to sink.

Well you know how if you hit water hard enough, it's like hitting cement? Perhaps their feet are hitting the water so hard and so quickly that it's like their running on cement. Ever slapped the surface of water really fast? Kinda stings, another similar concept.

I do think the possibility is there to be able to do something like this, but it's hard to say if this is real or not, most likely fake. Would be cool if it were real though.

Also note how they're advertising Hi-Tech, which is the company that makes the waterproof shoots that they sorta advertise. Might just be a really good advertisement for those shoes.

When I watched this video I got really exited, so I went into my back yard with some waterproof shoes I own and tried it. Oh, My, God, I actually got 4 steps. It was so fun. I couldn't believe my eyes. I kept screaming " I AM FREAKING JESUS~!!!! " . It is awesome. I really hope that this will become more popular and people will start trying this. What I did was that I pushed my feet very hard downwards each step. So the water became like a solid towards the soles of my shoes. I got to say, wow. I just became so exited when I did this. Next time I'm going to video tape it. Anyway, thank you so much. See ya later. Bye!

The trick is indeed to hit the water hard, but they also explain that it's best to enter the water at an angle to create a sort of pressure on the surface that resists your weight.
I believe it's real. It's not fake. They're doing the same thing as the lizard species that is able to run on water. I'm sure you all know THAT's not fake, for those who have seen videos of it.
