I have had many issues with my eyes over the years. When I was younger, I had to wear an eye patch to strengthen the other. I was fine for awhile after that, but over the years I became nearsighted. I now wear glasses all the time. It does not bother me; I actually look better with them...

Contacts. It becomes so much easier to play sports, brush my hair, etc, when I don't have wires radiating from my head. The only problem is when I start becoming allergic to them- then I can't wear either glasses or contacts and just struggle around blindly for a week while my eyes re- adjust. Good times.

When you wear them for years, they become a removable body part that can be replaced to you sometimes. They are like that for me.

Wires aren't on glasses in most cases. Some styles have them, but... Glasses rarely have them. Just felt confused by the usage of the word wires. I doubt many people even use the style of glasses that has what could be called "wires". Every elderly person I meet never has them, for example. Only use I can see for that style anymore is for costume purposes.
