Do you think they should put death row inmates on a reality show? The reason why I ask is because there's been many movies made like Running Man,Gamer,Death Race, and a bunch of others that I can't think of right now. People seem to like those type of movies so that's why I ask. Do you think they should make a reality show in real life similar to those movies?

That would just be really messed up, to watch death row inmates on a reality show. I mean, if america comes down to that, I'm moving to Canada.

Yeah, that would be pretty messed up, but at least it would be funny and entertaining to watch a fat, bald guy (Who would obviously be chosen to be on the show) getting zapped.

The reason the movies are liked is because they're JUST movies. If people think this kinda stuff is really going on in America of all places, what reputation would that give us? Killing people just for laughs just cuz they're gonna die anyway? Come on, get real. That's disgusting.

I don't know, reality tv is horrible as it is, this could at least be entertaining.
Definately better then the garbage reality shows we have now.
I mean I wouldn't want a criminal set free if he won, but maybe instead he could get his sentence reduced to life without parole.

It's actually not a bad idea really. If people are going to die you would think they would want their 15 mins of fame before they die. Maybe it can be called Death Row Gladiators, whoever walks out alive gets to walk free Sounds a lot like the movie The Condemned with stone cold steve austin.

ok this is just screwed up. they should not be alowed to walk free if they win what if we had something like this and a homiciadal maniac won. this would only spell trouble for everyone. and why would you want to watch people die do you have no respect for human life?

Honestly, there already kind of is reality shows on TV in a way. Look at Lockdown on CNN or those shows found on Discovery, PBS, History, or A&E, they all show prisoners and such. I mean there isn't that much of a difference in those from making an actual reality show. I personally wouldn't watch it because I hate cable, never really watch it. I heard of another show called Jail that was on TV as well, lol...

yes but jail isnt real. and its different for pbs because they arent playing a game to see who will live. and your not watching people die.

I think its a good idea, why not? A good way to pull the US out of a recession. Execution for Gov't profit.

I don't think they should do that. It would be a horrible standard for the country. While it wasn't until recently that it became taboo to watch people get executed, it's still wrong.

But yeah, like DNG said, you'd be killing off con's for profit. Sure it's a little inhumane but still, they are dying at the gov't hands everyday either way so why not make it public like this then profit off it. Might be wrong but America's already messed up anyways, lol...

Who says its wrong? Up until 1936 it was totally normal for public executions to take place in the US. Also it sets an example, if you want don't want to be executed in front of all of your peers, don't do bad stuff.

Just to let you know I have the utmost respect for human life I care for people very much Probably more then most people actually if you dont believe me you can ask any of my friend's or family members i'll give you there phone numbers. The reason why I made this thread and any other thread that I make is to get other people opinions. Opinions on normal stuff, crazy stuff, basically i'll make a thread about anything. Just because I make a thread about something DOESN'T mean I belive in it. If I posted only about stuff I only believe in I would post alot of boring stuff I try to think outside the box when making thread's I try to make thread's that people would have never thought of or would be to shy to post or to scared. I try to give people A voice. Sometimes I make controversial threads, disgusting, inspirational, and even threads that give people great ideas. The reason why I make these threads is I try to connect with everybody no matter who they are. Because I like to see what other people think and what there opinion is on stuff no matter the subject. Thats why I like this site isn't that what this sites about and i'm SORRY offending you zeldaisaster: and drag00n365: and anybody else for making this thread or any other that yall may find offencive. I'm just trying to give yall good threads and poll's to post in or talk about in.

It's not so sick if you think about it. I mean tax payers pay to keep them alive in the first place You don't have to actually televise their deaths it can just be as you said a reality show.

But we have seen the media show deaths on tv before this is nothing new. JFK & 9-11 are a few events that show people die yet they run that on TV a lot only difference here is it would be people who actually deserve death. And no one is forcing anyone to watch it.

DNG : So having kids pick on you to the point where you want to commit suicide or have to get therapy of some sort later on in life is a necessity?Not everyone can handle the amount of torture from kids like we,and i use that lightly since I am younger but had a pretty rough childhood, did but I do agree it does make you a stronger person sometimes if you can deal with it and suck it up like the rest of the world. The next generation of kids are being born to all these "emo and scene" parents and it's just looking a bit disastrous in my opinion.

Kahelofdoom : Survival of the fittest, those kids wouldn't act like that if they weren't taught to be such giant softies. The world is a rough place, not everyone your going to deal with is going to be nice to you. Kids should learn to be tougher, and desensitization is the perfect way to do it. The world's a horrible place, deal with it.

All in all, public executions = excellent idea.
