I would reccomend to my friends Pokemon Emerald or Crystal, good games.

The MegaMan games are great, addicting, and fun to play, so that would be in my list.

Super CastleVania 4, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, the Final Fantasy games, and Legend Of Zelda games are also just fantastic.

I also like the Yu-Gi-Oh games. Some of them are pretty good time wasters, but then after a while, they get boring and repitive.

Strider for the NES. Also 8 eyes. yes, super dated but certainly not unplayable. Strider was SO good when it came out.
