Whenever I share my faith, it's only when an opportunity comes during a conversation or something like that. Seeing how my brother's goes out on the streets and shares his faith with people and other people as well makes me feel kind of bad for not doing the same :/. I try my best to share my faith with my friends though. How about you guys?

I try to, whenever religion comes up in conversation. I never shove it down anyone's throats though, as I notice a lot of my atheist friends try to do, but not all of them. I don't actively bring it up or share it, but I will when given the chance.

Yeah same here. I really take the chance to try and convince them but it can be pretty hard sometimes especially how stubborn some people can be.

I only share when it's brought up in conversation or when it's appropriate to (like in this forum lol). I try to be respective about other peoples beliefs and enjoy discussing theology with people. I'm not Christian though

I try not to honestly.

If the topic of religion comes up in conversation I will give my opinions on the subject of choice and if my personal beliefs come up then I tell people but I don't go after every opportunity to try and convert people. I provide an answer to a question if it comes up. I'm not a big fan of people who try too hard to convert others.

I dont' like when I say one "wrong" thing and people are talking to me like I'm evil and going to hell. I have a friend at school who is like that. I don't think people should push their beliefs onto others. I think people should be who they want to be and believe what they want.

I've taken some courses at university, about most known religions. It was interesting, because I was able to express my personal opinion about every religion. But I always had in my mind that I must show respect to every kind of religion.
I think that we should respect also every personal choice of other people and don't judge them.

Noelia, I'm not judging people, I'm just telling them what I believe in. As a Christian, I believe that I need to share my faith.
ff_freak, is that person trying to be nice or is he/she just yelling at you saying you're going to hell, because I honestly don't like it when people try to share their faith like that. If that person's just trying to talk to you and ask you to consider Christianity, then it's not like that person WANTS you to go to hell, he wants you to go to heaven.
I really hope I'm not offending anyone with this thread -.-

They were trying to push their religion. He was trying to scare me (I think) into taking on this religion by saying that I was a sinner. I believe that everyone is entitled to his or her own religion and beliefs. I respect all religions and never judge anyone for their own views.

Don't worry, we just express our opinion, maybe we don't fully agree, but I think that nobody is offended by that

I do share it a bit. Though most of the time I don't actually say what I believe, I just open my mouth and share my views quite a lot.

I'm only saying that if the person was sharing his faith, it was either that he's trying to be a jerk and started pushing it in your face, or that he cared about you. I hope you understand what I mean.

Thanks Noelia, I really hope so.

I hate how people say Christians impose their views on others. We don't put guns to peoples heads and threaten them to convert.

I mean, I guess people look at it that way sometimes. But most of us Christians wouldn't act like that

I dont really share my faith or my views on faith too much, just when other poeple are talking about it.

And I dont mind when people on the street start preaching to me about there whole deal. I probably wont gain much from it , but there is always a chance that they can spit a little bit of knowledge that I might pick up on.

Quite honestly, with a lot of people it is very hard for them to share their faith, because people react badly when you try to tell them in any way they should believe in something. I have shared my faith to a couple of people by telling them why i believe and the science that i think supports my beliefs, but sometimes even trying to explain it this way causes people to get angry. Most of the time though, it is people that get angry with the person trying to talk about their faith due to stereotypes they have about Christians that makes the situation hectic. As always the actions of a few are expressed on the many, even though our culture has been trying to eliminate that view.

I agree, and occasionally, people who have tried to in the past talk to someone might have done a bad job of trying to convert someone(forcing, yelling, threatening), which in turn makes a person believe that all Christians try to convert people like that. While you don't want to just say that "Jesus loves you and if you believe in him you'll go to heaven" because you also want to note that the person has sinned and needs to ask for forgiveness, as well as commit to Christianity, as it isn't a one time thing, You ALSO don't want to just yell at them saying "You'll go to hell if you don't convert" and stuff like that. It's true, but you do not want to just give them the idea that Christians are always going to say stuff like that, plus people can really screw up saying stuff like that in major ways.
God loves everyone, but it's not like he's spoonfeeding us like we're babies, he's a just judge, ready to hand down the final judgment in His second coming.

I regularly share my faith as a Christian, and I would say that Christians should be active in sharing their faith. Of course, I still think I should do more than what I am doing, but it is a privilege that as Christians, we can go and share the good news to others.

It is a privilege for me to be able to teach others to do so in college for a ministries. It's great to see others have a passion to share the truth and know that they can do it simply, effectively and biblically.

It can be hard because people might be afraid to talk about such topics or maybe offend someone. Of course you don't want to intentionally offend people, but sometimes what you preach could be offensive to them. It is not your fault. The message can be offensive to non-believers.

Overall, we are commanded to preach the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20) and if we love God, we would keep his commandments (John 14:15), also if we don't, how can they hear the good news? (Romans 10:14-15)

We need to be ready at all times, because opportunities can happen at anytime. "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry." (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
