I prefer 1, because I am like that, I like the original more than the sequel most times.

I voted one because I enjoyed it more. I just had more fun playing it. Two felt like a bit of a drag, and I just kept waiting for it to end, hoping that my new team mate wouldn't die this time, lol. The no levels thing was kind of fun, but I didn't like it in the end because it was hard to judge how powerful you were before facing the next boss.

I'm going with 1. In the second ff game you didnt get a chance to choose the team you want witch is hassle if you know what moves you need to beat the monsters/boss.

1 by far is my 2nd fav of all 10 being the first!!

i liked all the 2d final fantasys equally....other then ff3/ff6 being my favorite lol

i like them both can't pick either one of them lol ff3 is an all time fav i still have the walkthrough some where lol

I thought the 1st one was too easy. I'm the kind of player that stays around and levels my characters up just about as much as they can be before moving on no matter how tedious that is. I found that my "Fighter" character could never die even when the others dropped underneath him. I liked it because I like RPG's period, but it wasnt one of my favorites.

To kind of quote a review I read a few years ago about FF1: I remember the reviewer saying something like "just get 4 fighters and ignore the other classes and beat the game". Of course, I didn't do that because that would have been boring. I got really really far and never beat it. I lost interest after so many easy victories.

I never even played 2 in my life because I thought it would be more of the same. This thread gives me a reason to try the 2nd one.

One, although I only played a little of both... Two only made me bored

FF1 was better only because ff2's stat gring system sucks. I spent a hour straight just trying to get mp up.

1 is original and thats what makes it good I don't think anyone can argue with that.

FF1, it;s always better when you think of the originals. Besides two gets a little boring after a while anyways.

ff2 ff1 was just hard they dont tell you what to do and whare to go

Final Fantasy 2 is like the electric boogaloo of the FF games. It was a generally bad sequel in my opinion. The original was better. I like XIII and hope that XIV will be good but 2 was just terrible. At least in my opinion anyway.

FF1 was better but I give credit to 2 for trying something different. It didn't suck because you could hit yourself in a weak enemy place and beat the next few dungeons very easily.

FF1. Without question. #2 Is much more complicated and confusing than #1. And #1 is my favorite of them all. So I'll type it again. FF1!

Not bashing on number two, it was a great game, but I can safely say that I fell in love with FF when I played number 1, so...yeah.

No, but seriously, FF1 is getting my vote. FF2 imho was trying to get too serious with a storyline that early in video gaming. Little poorly-rendered dudes are hard to relate to.

At first I disliked FFII and loved FF. Now, I love them both. I chose FF because it was my first one and it was nice.

I don't love or hate FF2 its just firion sucked eggs so badly

where as the original was just really good. Definitely re-playable

I like 2 better because it changed it up a little, I really would play any other of the games in the series but one. That game was frusterating for me.
