I personally think south park is better.
one because they make the episode the a week before it airs and tie in current events.
two they seem like they try harder to have episodes that have funny stories and twists.
three south park came first.

I would say that Family Guy is better because it is more funnier. I usually watch more Family Guy than South Park. I never even watch Suoth Park before, well just one episode. Yah, I watch Family Guy like everyday when I am bored. The show is hilarious and Peter is great. Stewie is my 2nd favorite characer.

The only 2 shows that are worth watching for me when i'm looking for intelligent comedy and I know that sounds awful (to those who don't follow the shows).

South Park is #1 and Family Guy is #2 for simple reasons:

South Park can say whatever they want to say because they're on Comedy Central and not Fox. They're not limited to a soft audience. South Park deals with current events more often than Family Guy and instead of making random jokes about it they twist it into something insanely funny (and usually if you follow the show and its characters its completely TRUE although in a sick twisted way). South Park also has deeper characters with more personality.

The one knock I have on South Park is the animations aren't quite as good... but they are consistent enough to beat Family Guy still.

Despite everything I've said, it's still a matter of opinion and if you're mature enough to look beyond the vulgar nature of the shows to reach into the storylines and true meanings of each episode.

Many many people see about 5 seconds of either one of these shows and judge them too quickly and for that they suffer by not knowing what everyone else is talking about the next day.

I like Family Guy more, it's more innovative, isn't as repidative as some other cartoons of it's kind, and generally makes me laugh almost every episode. South Park has a lot of dumb episodes that are generally not that funny to me so I voted for Family Guy.

South Park.

what is it at now? 14 seasons? 15?

Family guy got CANCELLED after a couple seasons.... sure, it made a come back.... but it still got cancelled....


And I think South Park is a much more clever show than Family Guy. The humour is crude on both shows.... but South Park hits far more real world issues and does a better job.

I like them both, except I don't end up watching south park that much in my house, because my dad is always in control of the T.V. and he thinks south park is too rude for him. Sure they tie in world issues and current events some, but my dad is an uber christian and doesn't want to listen to all the swearing thrown in.

Family Guy hands down,i cant really describe how south park is, it doesnt resonate has funny. their jokes try but fail.

South Park, because it is original, funny, creative, and right. Family Guy steals from The Simpsons on a first rate basis. South Park has a different animation style too, using Cutout Animation originally from Monty Python's Flying Circus!

Thy both have the same dumb toilet humor and wierd holes in the story, but I watch Family Guy way more often than South Park, just because the idea of kids doing what they do makes the show not as entertaining as Family Guy...

I like both but I can't watch South park ever and sometimes it gets really annoying whereas Family Guy I can watch on hulu and its really fun to watch.

My vote is for Family guy; it's a little more realistic than southpark where Kenny dies nearly every episode; where as in FG, when characters die it's usually in a "simulator" scene. (by FAR not calling FG realistic, 'cause obviously it's a cartoon). I find FG more entertaining than that of supposedly new episodes of SP. I don't know, maybe I just grew out of the SP phase and can relate more to FG.

south park is good but family guy tops south park any day
alot of the south park eps dont seem as funny as they should when almost every family guy eps i watch i get weak as hell

I like both, but I like Family Guy better because I love the randomness of it. It's totally all over the place. I also love all the running jokes, like the giant chicken, destroying Cleveland's house, and Conway Twitty.

I tend to laugh more at family guy. I just watch south park for the creativity they have with the twists and all that.

South park is my favorite. Family guy seems to be getting dull.

I reckon that Family guy is better. South park I think contains too much rude s***, and not enough good stuff. Although Family guy is rude, it attracts people of my kind, so it's Family guy for me.

I've never found Family guy funny at all, But i have always found south park funny and the characters in south park are much more likeable
