So... I bought this forum off of zanderlex: and I have some ideas for it. But, I wanted some community feedback before I went and started going crazy this weekend.

So, first thing first, it is going to be Internationally based. I was thinking each continent could have it's own subforum within this one, as I know we have a lot of International people in here. Was also planning on an "International News", and anything else people can suggest that I think might be a good idea.
But, before I go changing things,
janus : What would you like me to do with your old music reviews? Is there somewhere that we can move them too? Would you like me to make a special little tipic so it has it's own area within this subforum? Or would you rather I just trash them?

For now, I am asking for feedback from everybody. I will start work this weekend, taking into account everyones feedback.

Me, Zlinqx and a few others attempted something similar, like pokemon x stated in an earlier post. The forum was born when both the boards and our members were heavily active and topping the ranks in this site but it didn't quite catch on because after all we're a minority and we're not that active either anymore,

We're keeping it alive somehow, and every now and then we get new ideas for it. People sometimes remember it's there and throw new threads or reply to existing ones. I wish it would have more activity, but even I don't have that many ideas for it.

If you have any other ideas for a forum it'd be good to throw them in as well. Many concepts have come and gone and some remain unexplored as of yet.

EX Palen : I have some other ideas, like Fantasy Sports (but that can just go in Sports), Online Gaming Sessions (possible), and I don't know what else I can come up with.

I also have one that I need a change of topic for, but we've got so many things covered and ideas that are too niche will just die out again.

I once had the idea of a board game forum, like how Gamefaqs also has its spot for them. It's no secret they've had a massive resurgence after COVID, so maybe having a corner for the other kind of gaming that isn't videogames could be a good idea.

There are platforms to play them online, like BoardGameArena or even the Steam-available Tabletop Simulator and its many mods, both official and unofficial. Some games even have dedicated apps from the original creators, like Blood on the Clocktower. This means that if enough people were interested in trying out some, there are several ways in which we could do it as a community.

The downside is I don't know how many people here would be interested in that. There have been tons of videogame-ports of traditional board games, both classic and new, yet they have never received much love nor has people compared them to the board game itself. Also, no attempt has been made to bring up board games anywhere, not even when the creator of Catan died. This is why I shelved the idea and haven't been tempted to bring it forth, but I could be wrong about my views.

Online Gaming Sessions sounds a possible idea too if it allows for some discussion about streamers. I know we have some threads for that kind of topics scattered around the board, but focusing a forum around that topic in all its facets with how popular it's become as of late anywhere in the world could function nicely.

Barathemos: Funny enough, I was actually thinking about that. It would mostly be for fun.

I was also thinking of having this be a "Competition" Forum? I had some things in mind, similiar to the old VCS, but something different. Maybe each month I decided to hold one would be like, a single jersey?
Was also thinking of hosting some kind of gaming tournaments, or virtual get togethers.
Could also be a place for people do bigger / longer competitons, like when leggy used to host Mafia YEARS ago.


EX Palen : That was something else I had in mind, the online gaming sessions. I used to be a huge Achievement W**** on xbox, before I switched to PlayStation ( I switch every few years. ) I was using TrueAchievements as my inspiration, but I think casual meetups would be more likely on Vizzed.
