I have two small Shih Tzus that will be 9 years old this Summer. Their names are Cujo (boy) and Jinx (girl) and they're half siblings. After our previous dog passed away, we decided on a smaller breed that we could keep indoors, which I think was for the best.

My mom came up with Cujo for the boy (which is hilarious since the real Cujo is a St. Bernard, an absolute monster of a dog), and my sister decided on Jinx for the girl. We love them both very much.

Well, I don't have pets specifically but well my fam. has birds (chickens and parakeets and one could count animals outside like squirrels and mice and stray cats outside one feeds. I just don't grasp if having certain animals get considered as pets?? like owning a snake would that be one or called something else???

My family has 1 cat. We didn't have pets for a long time when my kids were little because we had a cat that ended up peeing everywhere and ruined a lot of stuff for us. We had to give her up because it was causing so much trouble.

Only in the last year have my wife and I been willing to try again. We now have a 1 year old black cat named Dru (Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.... my kids picked it). She's the sweetest thing. She gets sad when I leave for work in the morning and tries to keep my attention on her so I won't leave. It's cute but not cute enough to risk my job over.

My girlfriend has two dogs shared with her older sister and her eldest niece, which we have seldomly taken to my home. They absolutely love me, despite one of them being heavily protective of my girlfriend (and jealous as well, he loves getting in the middle when we get lovey-dovey), we think in part its because I contributed in saving them from a fire. The second one is loud and brute and eats a lot, we need a ton of patience to deal with him xD.

We're en route to getting a cat for March, if everything goes as expected. It will be my first cat and my first all alone pet, it's been an awful while since we had pets at my parents' home. It will surely be a new experience.
