For me, Zebstrika is one of those Pokémon that looks way cooler than it performs. It's a cool, sleek looking electric zebra that looks like it should be both speedy and fierce, but it comes up short, at least in my opinion.

It's base 116 speed is excellent, and while 100 base attack isn't necessarily awful, it doesn't pack enough of a punch to make up for how frail it is (base 75 HP and 63 in both defense stats). The final nail in the coffin for Zebstrika is its shallow movepool. You'll most likely be running Wild Charge, Flame Charge, Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, or something similar, which can be pretty limiting.

If this was just based on design alone, I'd probably give Zebstrika a 7.5, but since other factors are taken into account, I'll rate Zebstrika a 5/10 overall.

The next Pokémon to rate is Rampardos.

Rampardos is interesting. His attack stat is insane, but he's pretty much useless due to all of his other stats being low. Low defense and low speed means he'll just die before he can even get an attack off. His move pool is also pretty lackluster. Head Smash is his most powerful move by far, but it only has 80% accuracy, and it does a stupid amount of recoil damage. He can't learn any physical STAB moves with 100% accuracy.

Outside of battle, he has a pretty cool design, but nothing groundbreaking. He's a fossil Pokemon that looks like a dinosaur. Pretty standard.

Honestly, I forgot that Lumineon existed. Anyways, I really love Lumineon's design. Normally, I ain't the biggest fan of fish Pokemon, but Lumineon actually looks kind of cool. Lumineon's color palette is really nice, especially with the pink eyes. It really contrasts the rest of the design in a good way.

One of the cooler looking Eeveelutions, I think, but, probably not in my personal top half of the Eeveelutions. Don't think I ever got a Jolteon when I played Emerald, so I am going almost purely on looks and type, ( I like Grass the most, then Fire )

Torterra is one of the only final evolutions of a Grass starter that looks both cool and fierce.

Design-wise, I think the landmass turtle look is unique and well executed. Stat-wise, it has solid HP (95), Attack (109), and Defense (105), making it a good physical tank that can hit back pretty hard with strong moves like Earthquake.

Unfortunately, Torterra's Grass/Ground typing give it a 4x weakness to ice. Additionally, with a low base speed of 56, it gets outsped by nearly everything. Despite its flaws, I still really like Torterra, so I'll rate it a 8/10 overall.

Munchlax has 135 base HP and decent Attack and Special Defense (both 85), but all of its other stats are abysmal.

Also, even though it's kinda unfair to compare a preevolution to its final evolution, I'm going to do it anyway. Design-wise, Munchlax is good, but I much prefer the look of Snorlax overall, lol. I'll rate Munchlax a 6/10.

I'm not a fan of Copperajah. I think he's pretty ugly, and his design isn't super interesting. He's also incredibly slow, and pretty frail for a Steel type. His attack stat is high, but because his speed is so low, he's probably only useful in a Trick Room team. I'll rate him a 4/10.

Klefki is for better or worse only useful for status moves and spike setting. The former ended up getting nerfed anyway making it useless vs dark types. In gen 6 it was OP but in future gens it’s definitely suffered from the prankster nerf. I’m giving Klefki a 6/10.

I give Celebi a 7/10. I remember getting hyped by the movie trailers and stuff when Celebi was getting revealed but then I watched the movie and wasn't as interested anymore. There are way cooler legendaries in my opinion but there are also worse ones. Overall I still do like the design somewhat at least.

Koraidon's typing is unique, but I don't care for the design at all. For me, Koraidon and Miraidon are some of the most unappealing looking legendaries I've ever seen. Really wish they didn't have to turn into bicycle or scooters or whatever form of transportation they become... I'll rate Koraidon a 3/10 only because of the typing and its excellent stats.

Ugh, this is just one of the many ugly fossils to come out of Gen 9. I get the lore and what they were going for with these fossils, but this batch of fossils is undeniably the ugliest to ever come out of a Pokémon game in my opinion anyway. I'll give it a 2/10 only because its stats are okay...

Lombre is pretty sweet. I really like the whole Lotad line honestly. The idea of an animal lviing below the lily pad is cool. Lombre itself isn't great in battle, but Ludicolo can definitely hold its own when Lombre evolves. I'll give Lombre a solid 7/10.

Bruxish is one of many disappointing and unappealing Pokémon to come out of Gen 7. As far as design goes, I don't really care for the bright colors or the human-like lips and sharp teeth Bruxish has... I find them very unsettling. I'll give it credit for a somewhat unique typing being Water/Psychic, which isn't something you see too often. Stat-wise, it's pretty middling as well, with its only decent stat being an attack of 105. Everything else is pretty mediocre. Overall, I'll give Bruxish a 2/10.

Corsola is one of those Pokémon I honestly forget even exists. Appearance wise, it's neat that it resembles coral reefs, which is fitting for the tropical region of Johto, so I'll give it points for that.

Its stats, however, leave a lot to be desired. While 95 in both defenses is decent, its base speed is only 35 and it has basically no offensive presence either. Water/Rock saddles it with a 4x weakness to Grass along with weaknesses to common types like Ground, Fighting and, Electric. Overall, its design is okay and it has decent defense, but there are plenty of better bulky Water types that completely outclass Corsola in every way. The next Pokémon to rate is Araquanid.
Corsola is one of those Pokémon I honestly forget even exists. Appearance wise, it's neat that it resembles coral reefs, which is fitting for the tropical region of Johto, so I'll give it points for that.

Its stats, however, leave a lot to be desired. While 95 in both defenses is decent, its base speed is only 35 and it has basically no offensive presence either. Water/Rock saddles it with a 4x weakness to Grass along with weaknesses to common types like Ground, Fighting and, Electric. Overall, its design is okay and it has decent defense, but there are plenty of better bulky Water types that completely outclass Corsola in every way. Pokémon like Quagsire and Milotic immediately come to mind. I'll rate Corsola a 2.5/10.
