I built my pc for around $2200. Not sure about the exact pricing and likely the value went down to below $2000 because of the release of newer hardware.

It cost a lot because I went with high-end hardware like the cpu, gpu, and motherboard. With combine, only cost about half of the what whole pc cost (about $1300). The other went into storage space, psu, case, and my triple monitor setup (one of the monitor is a 24 inch drawing tablet though).

I don't not plan on upgrading anytime soon. My pc should last for another 5 years or more.

Mine was 900 when I got it. I think its still 700. It is a good one though so it was well worth the investment. I got mine when it was on sale.

I can't remember how much I think it was less than 50o bucks (it was built I got it from a place that doesn't meet with clients face to face anymore)

I've never had a full PC. I've had one laptop that my college provided, then I had a $300 Chromebook once I returned the laptop, and for the past five years, I've been using a $2,000 Mac book Pro but I do want to get a full PC soon.

I think I got mine for around $600? I believe it was on sale and normally would of cost around $750 maybe a little more I'm impressed with with it's power for that amount my grandparents spent more on there's in 2012 and it was awful lol.

I built mine in 2020. I believe the total cost was somewhere between $1,000 and $1,200, but I don't remember the exact amount. That does not include monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc.

I bought a gaming laptop back in 2020. I think it was a 2019 model, that was supposed to be around $1500 USD. I got it on sale for right around $1200. Now, I'm just waiting for it to officially die so I can claim it on insurance, since it doesn't work without being plugged in anymore, and the battery is a few hundred dollars if I want to get an official one, rather than a replacement part type.

I bought this Macbook Air (early 2015, she's over 10 years old now) for like 250-300 euro. She has served me incredibly well over the years, but her age is showing and she is struggling to keep up with increasingly demanding updates and software.

I got a new phone earlier this year and it's looking like a new laptop is on the menu by this summer.

When I built this computer back 2021, I think it cost around $900 USD or so.

That was at the peak of the graphics card nonsense, and I got a 3060ti for MSRP ($300 I think), so I was happy about the price I paid.

So to update everyone on the price of my PC apparently it wasn't on sale when I got it for around $600 they lied when they always sell it for that amount so I got a check in the mail recently from them getting sued cause I signed up for that.

I bought my PC during the last Black Friday deals. It was priced at 699€, which currently should be some $800 more or less. Since it wasn't gaming-focused and I wasn't truly aiming for top-notch performance it was perfect for me.

I considered getting an All-in-One, now that they're more adapted to society compared to 2016, but I eventually discarded it for tons of reasons and time has proved me right because I'm super happy with its performance.

I built this PC with parts that have been upgraded one by one over fifteen years, so it's kind of hard to say now. I'm just gonna price the parts individually and come up with what I'd charge for the whole package:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - Bought for about $550 during the GPU price hike, which was a fantastic deal as I was seeing the same GPU go for double sometimes. It currently prices at around $200, which is fair, we're well past the 30 gen.

Intel i7-9700K - Bought for about $300, currently goes for a little less than that it seems. This isn't the ABSOLUTE best, but close to it, CPU that my motherboard supports (LGA 1151).

MSI Z390-A PRO - Probably the weakest link in my setup. I wanna say I bought it for $150 or so... and it seems to be slightly more expensive at a little less than $200 or so. I probably got it on a good sale or something, too long ago to remember.

RAM - I have 2x 3200MHz 32GB DDR4 sticks (for a total of 64GB) that I bought for about $130 in 2023. The exact product I bought doesn't seem to have a live product page anymore, but it looks like the 2x16GB variant is about $214 right now. That means $107 per 16GB... so $107x4 = my sticks are valued at around $428 currently. Lol.

Storage 1 - Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB is my C: drive for Windows only. Goes for $120 currently, but I'm pretty sure I bought this thing in 2016 or so, so it was probably priced at MSRP of $150.

Storage 2 - WD BLACK SN850X 4TB is my storage SSD. I bought it for $259.99... the same exact product page currently goes for EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS?! What the hell man... lol

I don't know what exact power supply I have but I'm pretty sure it's 800W. This is still the original PSU I bought when I first built this thing LMFAO for probably like $100 or something. At it's current age I wouldn't even consider it in the price. It doesn't fail at all, it's an absolute champion that tanks everything I throw at it without even a single slip-up, but I'd feel wrong charging for something so old regardless.

I'm not going to bother meticulously counting peripherals, cooling, or the case and it's fans and all that. Let's just say all of them combined are ~300 (this is probably generously low tbh, I have a "fancy" keyboard and good quality case), and have not changed since when I bought them.

Intel i7 9700K is solid, don't need anything better unless you are doing something crazy.

Nearly EVERYTHING has been replaced. No borrowed parts from the previous computer, besides my SSDs, which add up to $750 combined on today's market, but I'll count the price I actually paid as I did last time - $400. Also I won't be counting any tax I paid.

There are a lot of 9070XTs going around that surprisingly range in price a lot... the quietness of it was pretty important to me, so I got a slightly-more-expensive one that had reviews which explicitly stated how quiet it is. Fortunately, those reviews are correct.

Nothing much to state here... it's certainly quieter than the old man I was rocking at first, at least. May he rest in peace under my bed.

Fractal Design North Case - $170
Very high quality and not super duper RGB flashy case, which is exactly what I wanted. The wood pattern matches all the other wood in my room which was most important to me. I do like how easy it made mounting the AIO though... I was concerned about that when initially getting it, compared to a normal CPU cooler lol

I bought a new monitor too and I'm gonna count it!!!
msi MAG 272UP QD-OLED 27inch 4K monitor - $650
Seriously such a massive improvement over my last monitor, between being OLED and 4K. I'm glad I waited to get on the OLED train for when managing and taking care of these things isn't quite as arduous of a task anymore - it has tons of features to prevent burn-in and pixel degradation. Of course, it is inevitable it will eventually happen, that's just the consequence of OLED... but it should mean the monitor will last a lot longer.

Anyway, the total I paid (before tax) is about $2530 (if you don't count the monitor, then $1879). Not that much more expensive compared to my last computer, but the difference being that I paid this all at once rather than slowly accumulating parts over time... safe to say I was eating ice soup for dinner for a week or two after getting the computer put together lol
