S is for Sylveon, arguably one of the best Eeveelutions (at least in my opinion). It boasts good bulk, solid special attack, and an excellent design that perfectly embodies the Fairy type. If not for Sylveon and Gardevoir, there wouldn't be too many Fairy types I'd consider worthy of a space on my team.

It's also worth noting that Sylveon has an excellent shiny form that's also arguably one of the best out of the Eeveelutions. Shiny or not, both forms make me think of cotton candy lol.

U is for Unfezant, the final evolution of the obligatory starting bird of Unova. True to tradition, Unfezant isn't very strong and once you get far enough into Unova and its vast roster of Pokémon, it won't be long before you find something stronger. Seriously though, besides getting it for the Pokédex, I've never used one because Normal/Flying is such a bland typing that offers almost nothing.

X is for Xurkitree, 1 of only 3 Pokémon that start with the letter X! This goofy looking humanoid mass of cables and zip ties is one of my favorite Ultra Beasts from SM/USUM. Can't decide which one I like more between Xurkitree and Nihilego... they're both great. It also helps that in addition to having a unique design, Xurkitree is a ridiculously strong Electric type that isn't a rodent nor a Pikachu clone lol. I still can't get over its monstrous base 173 special attack... it buries the next strongest Electric type attacker, Magnezone, by 43 points!

E is for Electivire, a strong Electric type Pokémon introduced in Gen 4 that really looks like it could've been an Electric/Fighting type based on its muscular appearance and the number of Fighting type moves its able to learn. I guess this is more of an observation than a critique since Elecrivire is plenty strong as a pure Electric type, but it would've been cool to have a rare Electric/Fighting typing (especially given how tired Fire/Fighting is as a combination) long before it finally became a thing in Generation 9.

F is for Forretress, a bug/steel type from gen 2. It's a physically bulky trap setter that honestly at least for me will always stand out for the time Brock made his Forretress use explosion to save Ash, May, and Max in Pokémon Advanced. That was easily one of Brock's best moments, so Forretress has a special place in my heart. Overall, I'm giving it an 8.

G is for Gyarados, my favorite Generation 1 Pokémon (with Snorlax being a close 2nd). Part of me wishes Gyarados was eventually made a Water/Dragon type sometime after Gen 1. I know GameFreak didn't want to take away from the Dragonite line being the only dragons in Red and Blue, but I still think it could've been changed in a later game. They had an opportunity to rectify this with its Mega Evolution, but they instead gave it Dark typing, which doesn't make a lick of sense, but whatever, these are the same brilliant creative minds that decided Alolan Exeggutor, a 35-foot coconut tree was more deserving of the Dragon typing... nevertheless, Gyarados is still a great Pokémon and plenty strong as-is—truly a force to be reckoned with after a Dragon Dance or two!

Well, I previously did Heracross for H, so this time I'm going to come up with another one.

H is for Ho-Oh, the rainbow bird legendary from gen 2. I feel that overall it's highly underrated and should've gotten better treatment from Game Freak. They played favorites by giving Lugia a key role in a movie, and instead of giving Ho-Oh a big role in the following movie, they gave it to Entei... FREAKING ENTEI! If that's not disrespect, I don't know what is... Ho-Oh will always be my favorite gen 2 legendary due to it's design and it's signature move Sacred Fire.
