What game out on the day you registered?
(or whatever's closest)

Randomly had the thought to see what game came out the day i registered on Vizzed, and then thought about it even more in like a horoscope-esque way. Does your release game bring good tidings, was it successful?, is it even still relevant etc.

For me it was the UK release of Heavy Rain.

Not sure how to feel about that, Happy it's a game that people know of, unhappy because well it's Heavy Rain... i mean considering the story of the game if it was used to predict my future... well i can't think of many bleaker games...

But at least it explains why i have the craving to shout Jason a lot i suppose.

The closest game i can find that can came out the date i registered was Far Cry 3. The game successful and still relevant even today. I still see people talk about Far Cry 3 even saying its the best in the franchise.

It is one of favorite games, even though my first time playing the game was almost 8 years after its release. Better late then never i guess.

I didn't find anything that was released exactly on the same day so I have to go with the closest one:

XCOM 2

Which came out one day before I registered to Vizzed.
Interestingly, I still haven't played the game. But it's definitely among my gaming plans to try it someday.

I am not sure what it means for me in a "horoscope-esque way", but the fact that it's a very successful and relevant game is possibly a good omen.

None came out on my registration day but 2 came out the day before being the lego movie video game and Braverly Default neither of which I played but then on the 11th 2 games came out that I do have some experience with being Danganronpa and Lightning Returns in short I hate Danganronpa but of the little bit I played of Lightning I found it fun probably isn't great to play through the whole thing if I had to guess but I enjoyed the bit of it I tried.

Tafarijah: In the same way that people born are assign a star sign, chinese zodiac, numerology etc...

Essentially predicitng future events based on a set date essentially. this one being the day you registered and the prediction being the game that came out closest to it. Could be bad, could be good.. depends how you perceive it yourself etc.

SonicOlmstead : Bravely default is a good game, got the collectors edition fo the second one right next to me lol. If most people were to pick between danganronpa or FF13-3 they'd probably pick the prior.

supercool22 : Just stay away from hallucogenic plants and guns and you'll have a good future lol... and trips to random tropical islands too!

I have two registration dates so depends on which one we're going with. I originally registered on 21st of May, 2011, which I remember being pretty close to when the 3DS released as well as the Ocarina of Time remake/remaster. I got the special edition Zelda 3DS much later, but that was quite some time after it had released, the same goes for Skyrim which came later that year.

All the while I was stuck in flashback mode, rocking my brother's modded PS2 and working through the library of games he had burned onto discs from 2007 and prior. Lots of old JRPGs like Tales, Suikoden, Wild Arms etc. I distinctly remember getting to play GTA 4 at my brother's house (at least think it was that year) and being blown away by how realistic it looked. But the biggest discovery of that year for me was emulation. Specifically the 3rd gen Pokemon games and Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team which I first found on Vizzed.

2011 doesn't seem like that long ago, but when I actually try to think back and remember it feels like a lifetime has passed..Not at all a bad year for gaming though. A few days before me registering, LA Noire, Witcher 2, and Fable 3 were all releasing, which is a stellar selection of titles.

Mars: War Logs and Poker Night 2 released on April 26th, 2013, the day that I registered an account on Vizzed dot com.

I have never heard of either of these games lol. The Mars game did have somewhat of a player base apparently, and it earned a score of 59 based on 32 reviews on MetaCritic. Poker Night 2 was released on a few different platforms, and its reviews varied based on that.

Interesting thread idea! I'm going to steal the concept and spin it into another thread

Halo 2 came out a month before I registered, which was of course when this current Vizzed Board started. Great game, and very nostalgic. I very much associate Halo 2 with that time period. I remember walking through Walmart and hearing that classic Halo 2 theme constantly playing from the electronic's department.

Two games came out the day I registered here. Dark, a PC videogame of very generic name that follows an amnesiac vampire, and the PC re-release of Final Fantasy VII, which needs no further explanation does it?

Since I registered within the hours in which it's still one day earlier in 'Murica I guess I could also list the ones of that day, which are far superior in number. A puzzle platform game known as Limbo for IOS, a stealth game known as Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine and Napoleon Total War for Mac, and the PC port of the revamped Mortal Kombat franchise (as well as an episode of the Telltale series of The Walking Dead, which isn't a true game in my modest opinion but whatever).

Not very great things as you can see, but we got two PC ports of world famous games belonging to legendary franchises so I guess it's something xD

The only game that came out the day I registered that's worth mentioning would be the mobile port for Final Fantasy V. But a few big games came out the day before I joined.

On September 3rd 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dissida Final Fantasy both got releases specifically in Australia. Doesn't seem like there were any NA or worldwide releases, however.

Resident Evil 4 is the only game that came out in January 2005 that I had ever heard of.

The rest of the games on the list that I found had nothing I had ever heard of. I don't think I've ever played a resident evil game after the original PlayStation ones.
