Talk about your moments when technology turns against you. Like your pc messing up. The dreadful moment when Windows update. Any sudden bugs and/or glitches on any device.

For me i dont really have terrible moments with tech, but i do get the occasional AMD driver being pretty terrible. I even had my fair share of defective tech products.

Oh that's easy. Playstation 3 freezing within frames of it booting up, Microsoft Word on Windows 10 crashing upon starting up or trying to save a Word Document meaning I have to start over from the previous state of the document, Framerate issues for older programs, my iPad Pro's Battery running out faster than it should be, my iPad 2 being effectively close to unusable now with constant crashes and unresponsive button...

If I spent an hour, I could come up with even more.

supercool22 : One time, I was in charge of recording a meeting, and had recently installed PowerDirector. However, when I recorded the meeting, my file got corrupted. The boss was super nice, and actually allowed us to hold a 2nd meeting, so I could try and have the recording not get corrupted. I thought it was not enough memory, so I cleared up my storage. However, in that 2nd meeting, the recording got corrupted AGAIN. Needless to say, "you're fired" came out of his mouth :/

It took me way too long to realise PowerDirector caused all this. When I had the idea it was PowerDirector, I deleted it, and now all my recordings don't get corrupted anymore.

I've had a few terrible moments actually. My computer not shutting off is probably the weirdest of them all, doesn't matter how much I tried to click the button it apparently restarted instead so I had to shut it down by force.

Just now I had another moment like this. I was doing my homework with no issues at all, but then I opened Office and it just blocked out. No command could be entered, the screen turned black, you know the drill. When it recovered, Chrome wasn't loading properly and I only had a blank page, so I restarted my PC (the button to restart it wasn't showing properly either, so it was kind of a blind search). In all, close to 15 minutes lost and also some of the progress I had made. Marvelous.

Now that I'm living alone, my main problem with the computer is the Wifi dying out because yes. It can happen anytime, and other devices using the wifi work perfectly well so it's clearly a problem of the adapter and/or my PC. In fact, I can't plug my headphones in at least one of the USB ports because that makes the adapter malfunction. Not the only malfunction I've had when trying to combine a few USB-connected devices, by the way.

Speaking of wifi malfunctioning, my smart TV also has a tendency to do that. The problem is within the TV itself, and without it I can't load anything on it, not even the common mediocre channels. I absolutely hate when this happens, because a smart TV doesn't have the same troubleshooting as a PC and it's harder to maneuver through everything.

My phones haven't given me any terrible moment luckily, neither have my consoles or my MP3 (or at least not bad enough to remember them). But with the streak I have with my PC and TV, I cross all my fingers so it stays just like this and not turn my life into a greater hell than it already is

supercool22 : I’m not going to lie I thought this was referring to an old game “ I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream” or the book of the same name. Tragic I was going to give some respect.

Though one failure of how technology went against me was my iPhone. I don’t know how but the battery got faulty and it started to swell up every time it’s charging and broke my screen, expanded and bent the shape of my phone. It was so bad, if I could find the old video of my iPhone I’ll send it since it’s been 5 years.

I have had several times where tech turned against me.

The one that I still fume when I think about it is what happened to my Ipad. I had an I pad that I really liked. I listened to music on it, and I used it for a lot of things concerning weather. After all I'm a Meteorologist. You can guess being a Meteorologist I have had my share of tech issues. Anyway, Apple released an Update for the Ipad. I did the update. However, the Update fried my Ipad. I took it to the Apple Store and they said yeah were sorry we have had this problem. I said since it was Apple that did it will there be any claims or replacement. They said no but we can sell you a refurbrished Ipad. I said no thanks and walked out.

The second time tech turned against me. Was when Windows 10 did an update. After doing the update my computer kept shutting off and on. To make matters worse this occurred when I was trying to make my weather forecasts and play games. I had to do a back the computer up to a previous point.

When my driver on my laptop went out I got the blue screen of death. I restarted the computer and it came back again. I had to get my hard driver on my computer replaced.

Finally, when I did a browser update it installed a bunch of stuff i did not want. I had to remove it but then the browser installed it right back. Eventually, I had to delete the browser then re download it.

For the most part, my computers are the worst. I joined a group to play Phasmophobia and I bought the game yesterday but it's only playable on one of my three computers and once I downloaded it to that computer, the game would never start. Then there's my MacBook, which can only run Goose Goose Duck and Minecraft apparently and even then I need to do a hard reset once or twice a week. My Kindle isn't any better either because even though it's a 2021 HD Fire model, it's so slow if you try to use apps or the browser.

And don't even get me started on the issues I had with Windows a few months ago.

yes, last Christmas I was in the middle of watching The Santa Clause 2 and all of a sudden I get hit with the blue screen of doom, and then it stopped working, I wasn't thrilled to have to take my computer in so close to Christmas, a good time for my computer to give me problems is NEVER!

I wonder if anyone as noticed anything involving windows updates. I usually pause updates for as long as i possibly can. I've noticed on more than one occasion were i would get some weird crash or technical issue that forces me to reset my pc, just for windows to update on me despite me pausing it. These issues i get seem to happen specifically when i pause updates. I always wondered if Windows purposely causes issues to force me to reset my pc to install the updates.

Yes, sometimes my Computer likes to completely crash and restart, this happened to me, let me explain.

Note quite technology turning against me, but twice this year, I thought I updated my automatic payments for my phone bill, but I didn't click the "make default payment method" and so randomly, in the middle of the day, my phone data just stopped. They didn't even bother calling to say "hey, you are overdue".

Okay it happened again, I was just on Clipchamp, and my computer go, "Nope, I will make myself 2 FPS because Clipchamp killing me." and I'm just sitting there waiting for Clipchamp to be done with my Video I was making.

why did Microsoft even force Clipchamp on us anyway? I was perfectly happier with the old editor, Clip champ is good if I'm working on a shorter project

classgame : I don't like Clipchamp sometimes, one time it crashed my whole computer, and I had to restart it, very annoying.
