Right now im using Windows 11. Decided to fresh install windows 11 when i got my new ssd. You can say im technically dual booting with windows 10 since its installed on my old ssd.

I use Windows 10 right now. It's been with me these past seven years almost, ever since I wanted to install it on my old PC but ultimately ended up getting a new one with that OS already pre-installed.

I did have a laptop running XP up until last year, when I finally ditched it for good because of how absurdly slow it was and the many issues I kept getting with it.

My computer at work is a Windows 11, the computer I am currently typing on is a Windows 10, we still have at least one windows 7 machine that works but the sounds is completely gone, my dad got my aunt's Windows 8 computer, I've seen him use it but I haven't though

I also have several virtual machines mostly XP and 98 but like I said it my August incident post that I may have to replace this computer sometime soon due to motherboard issues, and then I have to reinstall the virtual machines and all my recording programs....and it's not exactly a fun thing to do

I do have some experience with the Linux OS though, so perhaps one day when Windows 11 freezes up on me for the 6,000th time, I'll give it the boot and switch to Linux. Until now, I'm making do with Windows 11...

I'm slowly making a permanent move to Linux, specifically Linux Mint. Getting everything set up has been a little more challenging than i thought but its well worth it. I've been wanting to move from Windows 11 since all i've been having are issues with it, and i get full control of my system back lol.

I've had Garuda linux installed as a dual boot with Windows 11 for awhile now and if it weren't for a select few programs I use only working on Windows I'd probably have made a permanent switch to Garuda linux by now.

Barathemos: yeah I feel the same way (granted I felt that way about Windows XP) usually they wait until a more superior system is working in order for them to end support for a previous good system. Frankly I'm more concerned about how the virtual machines work on Windows 11 (so I hope the freezing isn't as bad as we think but I don't play the modern games like most people here do)

Well I did upgrade to windows 11. However, my emulators did not work on windows 11. I also did not like all of this A.I mumbo jumbo. I'm not a fan of A.I at all as I believe it can be used for more evil than good.

I reinstalled windows 10 and went back to windows 10. I do not plan to upgrade to 11 even though the service for 10 is ending. I will just buy anti viral software.

Had serious thoughts about moving the laptop over to a distribution of Linux as well (only thing I'd be missing that I might actually use would be Parsec, and I can at least still host that way.) My desktop has a CPU too old to be accepted by Windows 11, but I'm still getting plenty of good use out of it, as I should be.

I'd like to explore Linux or other options, now that I'm deviating from the main sources. But in the case of OS it's much harder due to installation and other technical stuff, so we'll see if I can actually explore that, but until I need a new PC the market will change a lot and new offers might arise.
