What's up?

I've been away for a couple of years dealing with some stuff in my life and it has been a trip to say the least... I definitely went through a couple of storyline arcs c: I left this site and community feeling very conflicted about a lot of things, both in regards to myself and others and I feel with some time away I've been able to mentally sort out much of that.

Other than that, I've never really fully stopped thinking about this place. The past few weeks I've caught a bout of nostalgia, lurking by logging in a bit here and there to see what's new. I'm glad to see a lot of familiar names as always, it brings a smile to my face.

So I thought I'd just ask how everyone's doing? On the site or just in life in general. I'd love to hear from you all!

Zlinqx : I'm good i always come to play the games i grew up with on here, i did have a nightmare so my dad gave me one of his dogs to hold after i told him about my nightmare and i calmed down after feeling sad.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the site is pretty inactive except for a few people. Cafeman above is like the only person really making threads. 

Maybe come next month for TDV activity will pick back up some. 





But congratulations on getting your mental health together! It can be a really challenging thing to do. It is something everyone needs to do, in my opinion; it just takes longer for some to realize the need before it's too late.

I appreciate the support, to be honest I haven't really thought about it as a mental health thing but I guess you have a point. I've been coming to terms with myself in some aspects. I had a lot of new experiences. Dealing with death, experiencing love, balancing interests and responsibilities... Adjusting to being an adult would probably be a good way to summarize it. It's definitely a journey. But that's also what makes life interesting I suppose.

Heyo Zlinqx welcome back to the site! That being said I don't think we interacted much in the past and if we did I'm going to feel awful for not remembering but considering I wasn't super active on the site till like 2020 I think it's probably a safe bet? Personally, I'm kind of at a strange point where I'm trying to find a job which will be both exciting and stressful I imagine, and I'm moving out of my grandparents next month most likely where I've lived since 2016 so I guess you could say I'm finding my way in life or well trying too.


edit apparently my memory sucks you were in my discord at one point Idk if we interacted in it much but I completely forgot and checked just in case to find out I have no memory lol.

Man! So good to see you back in here!

There's not a lot to say on site. The veterans eventually run out of places to post or even news to give, and also the fact our lives move on means we lose a lot of free time to dedicate to this place. We still post from time to time when inspiration comes, but our focus lies somewhere else now.

Off-site, we're all dealing with our own story arcs. I've gone through heaven and hell, I'd say 80% hell at its lowest, but everything has its bright side and I'm managing to pull through. The future looks promising so I'm positive about what's to come.

And yes, we all definitely need a break sometimes to recharge our batteries and sort out the many things in our head. Managing that isn't always easy, but it's always necessary in order to find happiness in your life.

cafeman55 : Of course, thank you for sharing! I always enjoy reading about other's people's experiences and memories in relation to the site.

SonicOlmstead : Oh, yeah I vaguely remember that. I think Bayleigh invited me at some point since we used to be good friends on the MC server. I haven't talked with her in a long time though, being in that server must have slipped my mind entirely.

Either way, even if we didn't interact much, it's still nice to see a familiar face who's involved with the site.

I hear ya about finding your way, I've going been going through similar phase the past few years. It's always a big life transition, but you'll be able to have a lot of new experiences, so I definitely think it's something to excited about. Any future plans for when you're able to sort it out?

EX Palen : EX man! I'm glad to see you still on here and being involved with the site. I figured as much, growing up and other life transitions are probably causing people to have to focus on other things. That's part of being an adult I suppose (although personally, I still try very hard to resist that by keeping in touch with my child self hehe).

Still it seems a lot of people do check in every now and then which is cool. Not a lot of places online are able to survive the test of the time like this in my experience, so to even see a bit of activity is a testament to how special this place has been to a lot of people, that's how see it. We've had a lot of good times back in the day too (and now I'm sounding like a senior so actually ignore that last sentence).

In regards to your personal life, I'm sorry to hear you've been going through it, as I recall you've been dealing with health problems for a long time? I can imagine it must have been rough, but I feel like it's those experiences that ultimately shape us to be stronger and appreciate life more if we can come out at the end of it (at least I've been realizing that about myself lately). I'm glad to hear the future is looking bright too.

And oof yeah, tell me about it... With so many pressures and expectations, I feel like it's impossible not to struggle every now and then. But beyond that lies a lot of potential to have new and amazing experiences as well. That's what I have to remind myself of sometimes when I'm just going through the motions.

I'm glad it slipped your mind as well I was quite worried that my memory had just failed me and I was being rude lol.

My main plan after stuff is somewhat sorted out is just to save money for the time being or at least as much as I can.

I don't know what you are going through but prayers for you. I can relate to being away from this site. I was non active for a few years. My condition acted up. However, it was revealed I was misdiagnosed. I was diagnosed with the correct diagnosis which also meant I got better treatment. I started to improve health wise. I thought of this place as well. In 2020 I was going to return on here. But in 2020 I got bogged down with the weather as I am a meteorologist.

In 2020 My area had a series of severe weather outbreaks from January to May. One of the worst days was Easter April 12. My area had a total of 12 tornadoes and several damaging winds. Then the hurricane season was super active.

Finally I was able to return to this site. Glad that you are back and hope things keep improving for you.
