I had to look it up to figure out what it means. But literally means a cup of tea and is a contraction word but only used in the UK.(Don't take my word as fact I just googled this word and went by the definition..) But as someone that lives in the US I don't think I have heard of anyone use it. I know personally I just cup of but maybe if I say it really fast it sounds like cuppa?

I'm from southern Appalachian. They way we talk sometimes it comes out as if we say I want a cuppa of Coffee when really we we say we want a cup of coffee. So yeah, it can come across as if we are saying cuppa.

I've definitely seen it in Runescape which is a UK game, but I have a friend who was inspired by it to reference tea or cup noodles. I don't think you'd see it outside of somebody using quick, causal slang or from somebody either from the UK or inspired by something from it.
