The funny thing is I literally asked in my review for it, why hasn't it become a movie, I'm eager to find out who plays who, which game will it be based on etc (probably the first one)

Wow I just saw this post. Then again I haven't been here for a few months.

I am surprised a streets of rage movie or anime has not already been made. I am always skeptical of when movies are made based off of video games. The main reason is well the results have been mixed.

For example a company made a street fighter II anime (there are several versions) and well this version was rubbish. It did not follow what is considered cannon in the street fighter series. Another example is the Super Mario Movie that came out in the 1990's it was horrible and did not even follow the video game. On the other hand the Mortal Kombat movie was okay it was close to the actual game.

If this is done correctly it should be based off of Streets of rage I and II with MR X being the bad guy. Lets hope the makers do it right

tornadocam : yeah for some reason I feel like if they do base it primarily on the first one they'll work Skate in somehow (and Altered Beast was also announced too) because why wouldn't they (just wish they had an explanation as to why he wasn't in Streets of Rage 4)

I do not know why he was not included. My only answer is because in this game they put Adam's daughter as an option. So she takes the role of skate in this game.
