I've felt this coming for a little while but I guess now is the time. I've chosen to resign from staff and retire from Vizzed.

To have been able to be part of the wave that resurfaced some of that old Vizzed feel these past few years has been a blessing. Being named Member of the Year and elected as Admin right after are some of my proudest achievements on this website. I was well aware going into it that it was nigh impossible to bring back activity to that of the glory days but I tried my hardest alongside the other staff members to let users have as much freedom and fun as possible. However after 2 fun years it's time for me to go.

This year has obviously been hard on everyone, including myself. I made the decision to switch colleges and I feel so at home where I am right now. I just am at a point where I don't want to let Vizzed and its community compromise my studies. I also want to spend more time on the close friendships and bonds I've made, many of which originate from here. By the time admin re-elections roll around I'll be in the middle of my finals this semester and I don't plan to wait that long to make this decision.

I'm confident I'm leaving the site in some new capable hands. Last term me and Minuano were on the forefront of everything happening on the site and in the community, and this term I've mostly been doing a lot of background work. I believe everything is set in place for this era of Vizzed to come to an end. With my leave this marks the official end of pizza time but I'm hopeful there is more to come.

I've had a blast and I hope it showed in the way I chose to lead. Shoutout to anyone still reading this.

I've known this was coming for a while but It is still sad to see I'll always remember both of the TDVs we competed in this year and the calls we had all throughout competing. Even tho I've known this was coming it's still kinda sad but I'm glad that your doing what's best for you congrats. I like how I say all this like we won't still be talking oh well.

Furret : I wish you a good farewell from the staff and hopefully your life goes wonderfully. Admit I haven't talked to you much or don't even know you that well but you always were such a blessing to this community, being so helpful to those in need and giving your best in everything. We won't forget what you've done and I don't think I could ask for a better Admin.

New blood will eventually come and while that's all good and well, it won't be the same without you on the staff list. It's crazy to think it's really only been 2 years to be honest. Regardless, I wish for the best for you and everything Furret and keep safe during these times.

It is unfortunate that you are retiring from Vizzed as well as stepping down, but not surprising. I can't imagine anyone putting their all into a community this inactive for that long, you did a great job.

I knew some update from you was coming. You were always very diligent taking care of staff stuff, but this December you gave the impression that something was holding you back. Now we know what it is.

It's been a nice time with you around. We shared time in almost all staff ranks: we both started as game guide writers, then we took care of that forum as locals, and time after it you were almost always one step ahead of me, but we did get to be on the same level as globals for a brief time and admins for a very short while. I was really looking forward to working a full term with you, but dreams don't always come true.

Real life is always a priority, and once it gets going enough you realize you can only dedicate so much time to this place. We eventually need to give in, and it's better to accept that fact right from the start rather than letting it weigh you down too much.

I hope life treats you well, Ian. The Land of V is in good hands, whomever your successor ends up being. Enjoy your retirement, and remember to pay us a visit from time to time if you can.

I'm glad you're able to leave on good terms and that you're doing so with positivity and optimism. I fully understand having to make a decision like this. Be sure to stop by once in a while.

I wish I would've posted here sooner, but I wish you luck in whatever path you take in life from here on. I hope to see you around some time, though I myself have been inactive for awhile literally until today. Still, maybe we'll both be on the site at the same time some day?
