Safe to say I've dropped. Burnout is real, especially since there's like four competitors total - I'd definitely be competing more if it wasn't just a competition between 2-3 people toward the end of the night. I'll do enough to keep my grey and maybe I'll try to keep yellow but I'm done besides that.

Once more scoring for three jerseys, and this time scoring also in Blue. Quite the good performance I'd say.

We'll see how many more points can I score during the coming days. My goal is 1800 total points by the end of the competition, which seems quite feasible, so let's keep working for it.

I'm now second for Grey, which is quite amazing. I doubt I'll beat Min to it, but it's good to see that I can keep up with the competition, so maybe my time will come in January.

Yeah not going to lie I'm feeling the toll this is taking already and we're on day 8. I'll probably convince myself to tough it out this month and then indefinitely retire myself.

It's the posting for me really. I can do the CP jerseys fine since I can do other things or talk to people or whatever in the mean time but to sit there day in and day out scrambling to find places to post in when it's been dead quiet and still trying to put effort into your posts is really draining.

It's always a little disheartening to see people lose steam and drop out but I honestly get it. Wish I had the guts to just walk away midway through but I don't at the moment so the best way for me to convince myself I'm done is to have one last hurrah this month. Might pop in here and there for a few days during other TdVs when I feel like it but yeah.

If the TdV of all things can't generate activity in the forums anymore it might be time to look at other options and different priorities.

Part of the reason there's burnout is there's little in the way of topic refreshment. It's the same discussions over and over.

I have only experienced burnout twice in my entire time on Vizzed. The first time was sometime before I stepped down from global, after making 20k posts within two years, basically. And that was understandable, since my burnout wasn't just related to posting.

The second time was sometime after I returned as a semi-retired poster in 2014/15. I posted for a month and got burned out by a lack of topics that I didn't create myself. Even today, most of my posts are revolved around my own content.

There needs to be more avenues of discussion, or burnout is going to happen.

Less competition will also drive burnout, because you find yourself talking to yourself a lot, and that's just not fun. Forums are fun when people interact with each other. And that's just not what this place is most of the time anymore. Just a sign of what the internet, by and large, is becoming.

It's nice to see that I keep scoring points everyday I'm active. Such a shame I won't be active every single day of the month, I wonder if I should probably change that fact...

I'm on a good pace for my HoF goals, so I may stick to this pace. I'll need to increase it a bit if I end up not being active a few days, so I better start working on one or more secret weapons that can give me the points I need to balance out some bad or inactive days.

Numbers have dropped a bit by this end of the first third of the competition, but still there's people showing good performances for the jerseys that keep this somewhat alive. I hope the weekend can give us a small boost, it'd be a shame if we went downhill already from here.

Welp, even yesterday I managed to keep my pace of scoring enough for my long time goals. This truly gives me wings to score big on select days if I go down for a try.

Graph is starting to look pretty unique. I don't know about anyone else but I've always loved the graph a lot, it's really interesting to see how the month has gone and how standings changed day in day out.

I'm still happily cruising and it seems to be working but kind of lame. At least I'm confident I can win Red for the 4th TdV in a row. Pretty neat I guess.

Well, my awesome attempt yesterday at doing something ended up with some valuable points. A few more days like these and I could balance out what I can miss the next weekend.

It's getting progressively harder to score in Yellow without actually aiming to if you just post around. Making threads with decent (and justified) length seems to be the best weapon unless you can find a thread where you can make a lengthy reply without drifting off-topic.

Anyway, I'll try to rack up some more points today and keep building up the gap I need. If numbers can stay a bit higher like this during the weekend it will be a good sight too.

Despite all the TdVs I've done I don't think I've had the fire combination that many times. I usually got Red/Green not Red/Yellow. Kind of odd but I've always liked this combo so I'm good. Realistically I think any 2 jersey combo looks good except Blue/Yellow, that one is ugly. Yellow/Green is questionable but not too bad.

If everything goes well I'll probably hit 200 points after tomorrow which is nice. Just need to keep defending the lead I have right now while simultaneously trying not to lose my mind.
