I hate the feeling of earbuds slowly falling out of your ears and also I hate the cords getting all tangled so I'll say headphones.

I find them so comfy that I'll sometimes forget I'm wearing them and I'll be like on the toilet or eating cereal before seeing them in my reflection lmao

I dislike earbuds slipping out of my ear, getting tangled up, or just completely getting yanked out of my phone while I am working out, so this one is an easy win for headphones.

I am planning to get a pair of earbuds that actually wrap around the ear and stay in better, but even then, I would probably just reserve those specifically for going to the gym.

Earphones can become distorted or mute from unintentional tangling or snagging, might not fit entirely & can break rather easily, but they are easier to repair (you can put the plastic shell and cables back together if they open up without too much trouble, usually. The soft plastic buds you insert into your earlobes can usually be removed with some effort. The volume is easily adjustable, among other things). Both can be customized to various degrees. Whichever is "better" is a matter of preference.
