I'm putting together a YouTube video for the Vizzed Channel which will show the evolution of this site and its community in the form of a timeline. The timeline will list all of the significant events (in order) and will show various statistics. It will also list the different users who have been staff and users who have had an impact on the site in some way.

The video will probably be around 10 minutes long. Throughout the video, I'd like for clips of Vizzed users to play so this is where you guys can help out.


Submit Your Video/Audio
I wanted to have the involvement of Vizzed users in this video.

Qualified users can send me an audio or video clip in the following ways:
1. Email it to me at davideo7@hotmail.com
2. Upload it to YouTube (as unlisted) for me to download
3. Upload it somewhere on the internet

You qualify if any of the following apply to you:
1. You've been a member for 5 or more years
2. You have more than 1000 posts (or 100,000 post words)
3. You have more than 10,000 CP

The Video/Audio Clip should:
-Be no more than 15 seconds long
-Start out with you saying your Vizzed username (or names)
-Be good quality if at all possible

Then answer 1 (or both) of the following questions in the clip:
1. How has Vizzed impacted your life?
2. What is your greatest Vizzed memory?

Staff : Letting you all know of this in case any of you want to help out.

I meet all three criteria to qualify, so I guess I could be in for this. I may not be one of the most popular users, but whatever.

I'll have to find the time to record something, and I'll have to practice it a bit because I'm not used to speak English orally. But it's something I actually want to try, because it's also a step of coming out of my bubble.

I hope there's enough participation for that video, and I hope I'm not the worst English speaker appearing on it

If this deadline is being extended, I may be interested in lending my voice to it, but however I am a little concerned that 15 seconds will be a little too harsh of a time constraint to say anything meaningful or worthwhile. I believe 25-35 seconds is more of a fair time restriction, especially considering it doesn't seem like a lot of people are interested in participating in this. Not to mention you need people to start off saying their Vizzed usernames, which is a slice of valuable time right there.

I've decided to extend the deadline of this and I might extend it a little more for 2 reasons.
1. Not enough video or audio files sent to me yet
2. The video is far more work than I had planned and not enough time to finish it by Friday


GameBoy1023 : I'll expand the time requirement. I imagined I was going to get a lot more submissions so having a smaller requirement seemed like it made more sense if there were a lot of submissions but having less than expected means the submissions can be a little longer.

Well, I don't have any recording equipment anyway, but surprised at myself for being less than 70% of the way toward both post and word requirements in nearly 10 years.

I just wanted to say a few things: It's hard to measure the exact impact anything has on your life, but this was my first social media board. I'm more so a filthy reddit user now but my experiences with Vizzed when I did (somewhat) actively participate in the boards was much more significant. You actually get a sense of interaction and talking with people here, rather than the generic online interactions of other sites.

I don't know if I'd call it my greatest memory, but definitely one of my most memorable was posting back and forth with another user (I think it was BNudge) in the Debate forum about whether .9 repeating actually equaled 1. This was about 8+ years ago (prob Spring 2011). We each claimed our Calc 2 teacher was responsible for our info but somehow arrived at different conclusions. I always liked geeogree for being the only one to jump in and agree with me, saying something like "I agree with you. .9 repeating = 1. That's just the way it is."

Anyway, don't mean to spam this threat. Just passing by (a rarer occurrence these days) and wanted to say something. I look forward to the completed video!

I've extended the deadline of this to December 9th. The video wont be ready in time for the 15 year anniversary but it'll be done within a week of the anniversary.

What if you wanna submit a video from a past video game music competition! Would that be allowed?

I've sent over an audio clip of myself to the email address stated so that I can be included. Please tell me if there's any problems with it, as Google as well as my internet connection have a history of not being very kind with me.

Sadly, I couldn't be able to get an audio clip of myself of my thoughts about the 15th Anniversary, mostly because I have been a little too busy lately, and by the time the deadline is passed, I would of had a lot more free time, which kinda sucks.

It's still going to be another 2 days I think before I'm finished so for those who were interested in submitting a video/audio, you still have time to do so. I have 6 submissions so far.
