Pretty simple thread. If you had to plan a vacation to Europe, what country(ies) would you absolutely want to stop by and visit?

Could be for any reason; culture, food, etc.

I'd personally love to visit Greece at one point. I'm a huge sucker for Roman/Greek history and mythology, and I've already visited Rome so Athens is next on my list.

What about you? Oh, feel free to discuss each others choices as well!

I'd also love to visit Italy. Not sure if I'd pick Rome or any other place, but I definitely want to be there. I had to sit out on a school trip to Italy long ago and I've only been in Venetia because it was a brief stopover in a longer trip.

While my main reason to go there would be dependant on any big event happening there or something truly worth seeing, I must admit the food is a great motivation. Italy is very well known for its gastronomy, and since I'm Spanish that's a key factor when planning a trip for me xD

It's really the only country I haven't yet visited which I'd love to go to. Of course, I'd like to return to other countries and places I've visited, but repeating a trip isn't the same as an entirely new one (even if the first time you couldn't get to complete what you wanted to do).

Germany because I am part german, Italy because I am a lotta italian and Switzerland even though I don't like swiss cheese.

I really would like to visit the nazi concentration camps, go to swiss alps, take a boat ride in venice and check out Poveglia Island's dark history.

Anything with historic value I'd like to visit. Since I never left America... I doubt it will happen LOL. So all I can do is surf the internet and pretend I went there.

I don't know if its family influenced or the fact that I'm part german, but I would actually really like to go to germany one day.

I'm already accustomed to some of the food and I think it would be interesting to see the historic's there. It's also been just sort of the family dream to go to germany one day to spread my grandfathers ashes.

Surprised Germany of all places has been the most popular so far. I'd have thought it'd be like France or something. I know like a lot of Americans go crazy over France for some reason.

Another place I really want to visit is Iceland, because it'd be so peaceful and quiet there.

Furret : Well I think Americans go crazy over France mainly because of Paris and Iffle Tower because I guess it is romantic or something... Another things Americans obsess over are beaches. It's probably the same to non-american people, they probably think NY is the best place in America to visit but I honestly wouldn't recommend it unless you like lots of people and never seen a skyscrapper before.

The thing I like about Europe is there is so much cool architecture and history. In America we mainly just got generic looking buildings. Maybe there are a few exceptions but nothing compared to the cool things in Europe.

Our national parks and scenery are probably the best thing we got going. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Rocky Mountains, Grand Tetons etc... not everyone likes scenic stuff but if you do then go to a national park.

I would really like to visit France again, while I have been there twice before I have to admit I absolutely love it there. They have so many shops for desert type foods that it is beautiful and the way they decorate and present them is great. Not to mention French sounds pretty nice to listen to and I do really enjoy the music there too.

I always wanted to go back to London because it's a really cool place with lots of amazing landmarks.

I also would love to check out Italy some day and visit places like Rome and Venice.

France...
The reason why I say France, well, mostly because it's quite an interesting country to try and visit, plus I also speak French, so, I don't really have to pick up any foreign language courses

Italy...
As for Italy, I really like to visit Italy because of both the Scenery as well as the food (for some reason), and I always want to experience Rome for a day.


United Kingdom (mostly Scotland)...
Coming from someone with a 67% Scottish heritage, I kinda always like to go back to where once my ancestors once live, and that would be Scotland, and being part Scottish, I still fascinated with the bagpipes, the plaid skirts (don't call me weird), and basically on whatever makes Scottish lifestyle so unique.

Ireland. I want to visit Ireland for the pubs, food and some of the scenery. Green pastures and find some leprechauns while I’m at it (bad joke)

Germany. I also want to visit Poland. Both countries are home to my ancestral roots, and I kind of want to see what those places are like with my own eyes.

Germany gets the edge because better alcohol.

For me there is 2 countries I would want to visit in Europe one of which is Belgium to visit a certain Pokemon named user of the site and try some fries that don't go cold in 5 mins as well as some chocolate oh and I'm sure I would have to try some sausage rolls as well. The other country I want to visit is the United Kingdom for one I wanna see the general tourist attractions and two I have a certain bubble milk date to attend.

Maybe the Republic of Ireland? I think there might be a family connection there. My mum's maiden name is an Irish one.

Of course nobody's going travelling at the moment thanks to this pesky Coronavirus. Let's hope for better times soon.

For me that'd be the UK, really boring I know but I have a friend there that I'd really want to meet and maybe give a big hug to.

Definitely France, ive always wanted to see the wonderful city of Paris, see the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame once its rebuilt and the rest of the city too
