The default order of the game system pages of the Retro Game Room have been changed to not show any removed games until the very end of the results (for example, the NES or SNES page). This was the default order for guests but I decided it was time to do this for all users as well since some users have still been confused by game pages showing up that aren't playable.

This only applies for when the results are ordered by "Best", which is the default order. When you search for a game that has been removed, that game will show up. It's still important that these pages still be available for when users want to play the removed games that they own rom copies of. They simply load the copy of their rom into the emulator and the site uses the custom site settings for that game.
