One of Boured's requests was for me to migrate the Active Users page to the new site code. Since I had big plans for the new memberlist page, I added the functionality to the new memberlist page that I've been working on (which will be most likely finished and announced tomorrow) and then embedded that it to the new Active Users page, which you can find here:

It's totally different than it use to be and for the better. Here's a few things I added that weren't previously part of the old active users page:

-It now shows the top CP contributors

-Since the 2 tables are "widgets", you can scroll through them without having to reload the page

-No longer shows unnecessary or unneeded rows, giving it a cleaner look

-Offers additional "duration" filters, which include 'Today', 'This Week', 'This Month', 'This Year' and 'Past Year' (past year for CP only goes as far back as November 2018 but as time goes on, it'll more accurately give a good tally of 365 days)

-Added a tally at the bottom that tallies up all of the CP and posts of all the returned users for the selected duration

-Clicking the title links for either tables brings you to a full page with the results filtered on the new memberlist, which then gives you the ability to have more results listed at a time along with other options (again, I'll finish and announce that page tomorrow)


I'll probably embed these 2 tables to the index page of the forum but a far smaller version of them. I want users to be given more recognition for their contributions to the site. Currently the TdV is the only time users are really given exposure to what they do for the site but this will eventually offer what the TdV offers but all year long.

Davideo7 : The numbering to the left of the users is glitching out of control! It seems random, some people got a number and some are blank. Look at photo below to see what I mean.

JigSaw : People who don’t have numbers next to their names are tied with the user with the number above them.

David - It looks great, I like how you kept everything with the daily/weekly and so fourth. One question though, is the “this year” based upon the calendar new year or the Vizzed New Year? (Just to keep track of most active award)

Barathemos : If that is the case it needs some fixing because it doesn't look that great having blank space there.

If you do not think it would be confusing to normal people look at this screenshot on the right. Many people are tied but the numbering is all over. People are going to assume this page is glitching.

JigSaw : That's actually a very standard way of dealing with ranks now days. But I can see how it'd be confusing, so I went ahead and made it so that the rank number repeats instead. Let me know if that looks better.

Barathemos : "This Year" takes all data since January 1st at midnight based on the server's time zone. Hope that answers your question.

Davideo7 : It pretty much looks the same, which I like. I do like how the cells are shorter, sometimes I’d look at the wrong row when trying to follow from left to right.

Also, couldn’t help but notice, that’s...a lot of PMs.

I love this new Active Users page. It's so much easier to navigate it with the smaller cells / the widget structure, and having both posts and CP there is even better.


Barathemos : Probably because everyones PMs got reset a month or so ago. 

I like the change it makes the information on active users easier to figure out now that both CP and posts are on the same page. It also makes the page look better because there isn't as much wasted space. 

Davideo7 : Thank you, now it is perfect Can't wait till you get the other pages migrated.

I actually prefer it without the numbers. It makes it feel cluttered, but that's just me.

Also, you could actually use this for VCS, and have both a CP one and a Vizzed one using just this.
My question is, when I'm viewing "past day", is that the past 24 hours, or the current calender day by the CST time zone?

thing1 : I was wondering the same thing just earlier, and it looks like it's everything from 24 hours before whatever time you're viewing it. Here's a screenshot of it listing you as having one post in the last 24 hours even though, as of now, you've yet to post after the midnight reset.

Barathemos : Yeah all of my PMs got marked as Unread. Before it happened though, I did have 1000s of unread PMs though.

'Past Day' would be results from the past 24 hours. 'Today' would be results since midnight of the current day. I suppose I could use better terminology. Instead of the link saying 'Past Day', I could have it say 'Past 24 Hours'.

Davideo7 : That's on me. I didn't see the "Today" thing. I think the Past Day and Past 24 hours is a this or that thing. It's not that big of a deal. I think actually, that chaning it to Past 24 Hours might hurt the astetic because there are no other numbers in the titles.

EDIT: When I go to "Today", CP list doesn't work.

Davideo7 : It's showing now. But when I was looking yesterday, it wasn't showing. Strange.
