The following people have been announced as 2019 NFL Hall of Famers:
Tony Gonzalez (Chiefs, Tight End)
Ed Reed (Ravens / Texans / Jets, Free Safety)
Champ Bailey (Redskins / Broncos / Saints, Cornerback)
Ty Law (Patriots / Jets / Chiefs / Jets / Broncos, Cornerback)
Kevin Mawae (Seahawks / Jets / Titans, Offensive Lineman)
- I'm actually surprised at Champ Bailey, personally. He was really game for the longest time, but I just don't know. After looking at the 15 finalists, I don't have an issue with him, but I personally would have selected Isaac Bruce, whose been eligible for the past 5 years, over Champ Bailey myself. I remember him a lot more growing up than I do Champ Bailey.
- I also have no idea who Kevin Mawae is, even though he played 18 years in the league.
- I know Ty Law won 3 Super Bowls with the Patriots, but again, not to sure about him.
- I completely agree with Ed Reed, (not even biasedly as a Ravens fan, even though I am) as a first ballot'er. He was a league changing safety. If he did not make first ballot, it would be almost as cruel and horrible as Edgar Martinez having to wait until the 10th and final year of eligibility over in the MLB (baseball).
- Tony Gonzalez is another great choas for a Hall of Famer. He was a phenominal, excellent, and supurb Tight End that any TE aspiring to be great in the NFL should look up. It's a crying shame that he never got a Super Bowl ring.
Also making the Hall of Fame are the following people:
Fil Brandt (a former Cowboys scout)
Pat Bowlet (Broncos owner)
Johnny Robinson (1st round draft pick of AFL & NFL in 1960. Played for Texans as a RB, then moved to DEF in 3rd year)
