Here's a list of almost all of the pages that still need to be migrated to the new site code along with estimates on how long they'd take to migrate. Some of my estimates are going to be on the higher end just to be safe and I've rounded up to the nearest hour for each of them. I should also point out that almost all of these pages would receive enhancements, better functionality, and additional features when they got migrated.

I'll be editing this post and crossing things out as I tackle each page. I'll also respond to this thread every time I migrate a new page. For some of these, I'll make a separate thread and/or an announcement.

They're not in order of when I'll take care of them (they are grouped together though) except for Login/Logout and Register, those 2 pages I'll be taking care of hopefully soon. I have no idea when I'll take care of some of these but you guys are more than welcome to give feedback on which you think needs to be migrated sooner rather than later.

Boured is using his 16 hours from being a Patron of my Patreon page to put toward this effort so I'll be prioritizing anything he wants me to work on that fits within his 16 hours window.

Boured : Go ahead and pick 16 hours worth of pages that you'd like to see migrated and in order of which you'd like me to tackle first. The 'Login / Logout' page and 'Register' page are pages I'm already working on so you don't have to pick them. There's also no rush in choosing, you can definitely wait for users to respond to help you decide on what you'd like to see migrated.

I'll probably begin migrating the pages you select later this week or starting early next week. I should hopefully have your selected pages fully migrated before the month ends but at very latest, early next month (assuming nothing comes up to interfere with this project).

It’s great to see all of the pages here and that they will be migrated to the new site code.

There are some things that I hope we can keep from the old site code, especially things such as the size of each cell on the notifications/PMs/Memberlist. The newer code, especially forum pages and the new post pages, don’t show as much information in one screen due to the cell size, but when we have a lot of notifications or are looking through the memberlist, it’s a lot easier to view all of this information without having to scroll. Maybe, if the cell size will be the same, give us a zoom option so that we can scale back the size.

Otherwise, I’m excited to see the new code on these pages, and I am kind of taken aback by the time this will require. It’s a huge task, thank you David for taking it on.

And one last thing, I would like to certify that the post radar still does work correctly, and I hope it remains mostly the same.

Well here are my thoughts. Registration, login, notifications and private messages need immediate attention and should not be put off any longer. These are some of the most used pages of the site and they need to be fixed once and for all. New people see these old pages and then new pages and wonder what the hell is going on with this site.

I also made a thread about the newbie experience here https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=101307 and how terrible it is. It takes a minimum of 7 pages for a newbie to complete the entire process. This needs fixing, registration should be one page and it should log you in automatically after completion.

JigSaw : I recently migrated the login page and notfications page. I'll be tackling registration and private messages after I finish the list of things that Boured requested. I agree that more emphasis needs to be placed on the new user experience.

Not going to lie some of the pages I honestly don't want migrated into the new site code, only because it made navigating the site easier (or atleast easier for me). For example the old site code for the game profile part of the user profile page, I'd use that page to quickly navigate to the RGR or VGR or even the posting board. To me i don't like the way the new site layout is when it comes to navigating to the rgr or vgr or even the board from your profile in the new site code i seem to always get redirected to every page but the one i disired to go to

Yeah, I agree with Divine Aurora. Site navigation isn't as easy as it used to be. But honestly, I only came here to mention the new thread issue.

Considering how much it sucks to have to turn my layout off when I want to make a new thread, I'd definetely appreciate if that was worked on in the near future.

The thing I like most about the new site code is actually the new reply area. I'm pretty happy with it.

Any word on when will the New Thread page be migrated? I know the post page isn't complete yet, but the old coding is extremely buggy. Not only that, but also the Preview Thread button can sometimes mess up your thread and/or may display something wrongly.

I must admit I'd prefer to have it migrated once the file uploader was added, but after witnessing first hand the many headaches we could save with the migration, the file uploader can wait.

EX Palen : Yeah, my 200+ word thread about school lunches just got cannibalized, because I got greedy and didn't switch my layout off. I hope this gets taken care of soon.
