I recently focused on fixing the cosmetic issues that have bugged me the most over the past year or so. These most likely annoyed everyone else as much as they did me, so I'm glad to finally find the time to figure out why they were happening and fix them (mostly).
Fixed User Picture on Profiles
At some point the user picture on profiles appeared behind the table borders surrounding it and it was just really ugly. This is no longer the case and the user picture is now on top of everything again.
Fixed the 'Your Friend Actions' Page and Widget
The
Your Friend Actions page and widget have sometimes shown the wrong information about a user's location and sometimes it failed to show any information at all. This should be fixed. It would also sometimes say '(using outdated site page)' even when a user wasn't using an outdated page. If the scr
ipt couldn't find the name of the page, it would usually show that but what I've instead made it say is the name of the page's directory and then when clicked, takes you to the exact URL that the user is on.
Banner Hovering Annoyance
Sometimes when you would scroll the mouse over the very top header main links, it would change the banner and sub links rapidly and annoyingly. Now there's a delay before it'll change the banner and sub links, which makes it easier to utilize the available links. It's still not perfect, but works a lot better than before and far less annoying.
Banner Disappearing Annoyance
For some pages, when you hovered the mouse over the main links in the header and left the header area with your mouse, the banner would go to a blank image and banner's link was sometimes to an incorrect URL. This one was more than just a cosmetic issue, it made navigation difficult, especially when the link would become incorrect.
Smilies Work Again
I made a separate thread regarding the smilies working again. More details in the above link.
There's a few other things here and there that I'll probably tackle and fix over the next week or so. Not sure if any of them will be thread worthy but I'll definitely make one for anything significant fixed. My focus at the moment is going around the site and fixing various issues and problems. My secondary focus is expanding
the feature I've been working on for a little while now which will give users the ability to help program for the site. So even though it might appear that I go MIA from time to time, as of
last month, my availability and time invested on the site has greatly increased and expect to see lots of progress being made with the site over the next many months
