The day appeared dark and cloudy, and not long after that a massive thunderstorm came upon us for several hours. Some will say it's just the climate, despite August not being prone to such wild thunderstorms in here, but the truth is that the heaven mourned the passing of a great star.

Unsho Ishizuka was prominently known for voicing Professor Oak in Pokémon, a series where he was also the narrator and provided samples for several Pokemons as well. He also voiced the legendary Heihachi Mishima in his latest appearances, and was also the replacement of Daisuke Gori for our always idolized Mr Satan from Dragon Ball.

He had also roles in Cowboy Bebop, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece and one of the spin-offs of Sword Art Online, as well as prominent appearances in Japanese dubs of Hollywood movies, being the voice of Lawrence Fishburne and Liam Neeson.

Despite having started quite late in the voice acting world, already aged +30, he clearly left a mark that will never be erased. Rest in peace, our beloved professor.
