On this day in history Jan. 9th 1965 the bond movie Goldfinger was released in theaters across the United States. Goldfinger went on to become the highest rated bond movie to date according to Rotten Tomatoes.

This sounds like a cool concept.

Almost 100 years ago on January 10th 1920, the League of Nations was created. That seems like a pretty cool piece of info.

On this day back in January 13th, 1999 Michael Jordan retired from the NBA for the second time in his career then retired again for a third time just a few years later. A few Fruit of the Loom & Nike commercials later and he is almost non-existent but will always be viewed as one of the best to ever play the sport of Basketball.

I don't know if anything important happened today worldwide.  I'm sure something did.

Locally speaking, my first daughter was born on the 25th of January four years ago, 2014.  She's well-spoken, she likes ponies and dolls, she has a strong vocabulary and she's probably going to be a runner at the high school level the way she enjoys it now.

She also went down the really big 25 foot slide today by herself because she's a big girl.

On this day in history India declared itself independent from British rule. Sounds pretty important since it is one of the biggest countries in the world.

Also the British discovered Australlia.

Today, February 25th, 1862, saw the Congress of the United States pass the Legal Tender Act, authorizing paper tender to be used in payments of bills for the Federal government over gold or silver alone.  The government had previously only used precious metals to pay their debts both domestically and abroad, and this act allowed them to use currency along with the general population.  It was a way to save some money since the U.S. reserve was depleted from the first year of the American Civil War.

The positive to come out of this was the increase in currency around the United States helped fuel the economic recovery after the Civil War and brought prosperity and trust in money backed by faith of the American people, as well as gold and silver.

On this day in history, it's 1850 and Nathaniel Hawthorne publishes The Scarlet Letter! (By far one of the best reading assignments I've had to do in school). He was actually born in Salem, Massachusetts were the town still talked about the witch trials dating more than 100 years. Is this work that actually made him famous to no surprise considering how controversial these witch trials were and how insanely evil those young girls were in picking and manipulating their victims going as far as signing their death sentence by accusing them of witchcraft. It's baffling how naive and completely stupid people were back then. Great read if you haven't read it yet. 

On this day, April 10th  in recorded history: 1970-Paul McCartney announces the Beatles are officially broken up. Arguably the Greatest Musical Band of all-time. I bet people were walking around in disbelief. 1865- A day after surrendering to General Ulysses S. Grant, Southern General Robert E. Lee addresses his troops for the last time. The Civil War was officially over, a Great Day for the U.S.A.  And in 1778- American Patriot John Paul Jones( and a crew of 140 men) launches the first Naval attack by the U.S on British soil. He successfully raided 2 Forts in White haven Harbor. Pillaging and Marauding up and down the Irish Sea.

World War 3 just started on friday the 13th. going into WW3 with bad luck does not look good.

the rich man tries to confuse us, making us believe that what gives of this world life, is that of money. but this only adds to the confusion -- and the enjoyment of the moneychangers in the church.
but that is not true. what gives of this world is not of money, but of the animals, the plants, and of God Almighty. these are what is real. this is what will Save All of Mankind.
the rich are the devil, and they send their demons, whether the presidents, kings, politicians, businessmen, or common slave, to'st hunt for those to murder, searching for those to steal from, for foreign markets and oil feilds to steal from, occupying foriegn lands and running up our national deficit by another 8 trillion dollars, hurting our people not only in the pocket book, but also as their bodies are torn apart in war from bomb blasts and hot lead puncturing all that is good in this world. the rich are the devil, and they send their demons across all the lands of Earth, with the Kingdom of Earth their "hunting grounds", hoping to murder, hoping to war, hoping to make a single buck, even at the expense of 500 million lives of their own people [in the Unholy Roman Empire (28+ countries) (there will be HEAVY CIVILIAN CAUSALTIES in WW3). and the devil of the rich man will use the american people's tax dollars to supply weapons to the middle east and to syria (it just happened (last week) and in the middle east for a purchase of one billion dollars of military equipment made last year by the oil shiek of the middle east) to kill them in ww3, using the people's own tax dollars, using the people's own money to murder them (business technique OPM (using other people's money to build up your business or to gain power for yourself or your organization)).
and today, the world hast become so evil that even priests hath become devil worshippers, praying for ARMAGEDDON to happen. and these devil worshippers of the moneychangers in the church, they preach that armageddon will SOLVE ALL OF OUR PROBLEMS.
yet, even when these priest are told that even if the Unholy Roman Empire defeats the Persian Empire, which spans of one third of the entire Earth in size, including china and russia, there will be nothing left of the Earth -- just a desolate wasteland, charred and burned to a crisp, pock marked with the Mark of the Beast in the evil man's heart now gone from'st of this Earth, but only leaving behind of millions of bomb blast craters. city after city burned to the ground, entire nations left in ruins. with only the last remaining cities of a population 9, where once los angelos or new york had millions. and still, these priest of the cloth, these devil worshippers, corrupted by the ways of the devious ways of the moneychangers in the church, they still PRAY for this to happen......

On this day in History, 4-23, William Shakespeare was born in 1564.  Hammering Hank Aaron hit his 1st of 755 Home Runs in 1954. Gerald Ford announced the Vietnam War was over in 1975. In NYC the first motion picture movie is shown at a theater in 1896. Also, in 1969, Sirhan Sirhan was sentenced to death for killing Senator Robert Kennedy.

On this day (July 6th) in history back in 1994, Forrest Gump opened in theaters and won Tom Hanks his second Oscar award. Also in 1946, George "Bugs" Moran (one of the biggest organized crime figures in America) was arrested by the FBI with his fellow crooks.

In 1814 Francis Scott Key wrote a poem originally titled The Defence Of Fort McHenry, which she was inspired to write after watching the Battle. The name changed, music was added, and the U.S.A had its National Anthem.

In 1951 the battle known as Heartbreak Ridge started. The month long battle ultimately took the lives of 3,700 US Servicemen.

In 1961 NASA launched an unmanned Capsule, it orbited the earth, and was later recovered. NASA was now on a Mission to put a Man on the Moon.

On this day in 1967, Ronald Reagan was sworn in as governor of California, which seems crazy because nowadays Californians would despise someone right-wing like Reagan was.

Hmmm, seems like on this day in 1990, Noriega surrendered to the US. I've never even heard of this Noriega but it must have been a big deal I suppose.

Here's a pretty interesting one:

On this day in 1521, Martin Luther was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church by Pope Leo. For those that are unaware, Martin Luther was the guy that exposed the Catholic Church for its corruption and started the Protestant Reformation with his 95 Theses.

This one is appropriate for the times: 

On this day in 2007, Nancy Pelosi becomes first female Speaker of the House. This is all happening again, except this time she'll just be taking her old job back. 

On this day in 1932, Gandhi was arrested by Lord Willingdon, who was the British Viceroy of India.

On this day in 1895, Alfred Dreyfus, the French artillery officer, was sentenced to life in prison. He was later executed.

On this day (January 5th) in 1933, construction for the Golden Gate Bridge began in San Francisco, California. Workers had to excavate approximately 3.25 million cubic feet of dirt for the structure's anchorages. Good lord.
