So I don't live in the best of places but this is one of the more interesting things that has happened here. A few nights ago on a cold winter night I was woken up by a women at 2:43am in the morning as she was outside screaming "call 911 call 911 call 911" and was also banging on peoples doors. Apparently, she was screaming this for over 30 minutes like a broken record until someone opened their door and talked to her.

Why was she screaming call 911? Well, she apparently saw a ghost. That is correct, a spirit from the paranormal world had gone through her doorway and scared the crap out of her while her husband was asleep, no joke. I overheard her talking to someone and she is not the one who mentioned ghost first. She said someone came through her doorway and the neighbor said, "what? like a ghost or spirit?" and she said yes. Normally, people would laugh it off but there have been at least one news report of someone being murdered here in December a few years back. Sure she could be on drugs too but I think she was being serious as she was scared out of her mind. Anyway, the police came and I don't know what happened to her. I'm sure they put her on a mental health hold because no cop is going to believe or do anything about a ghostly figure floating around.

A few nights before this event something knocked at my door early in the morning around 1:30am just as I was trying to fall asleep. The strange part is that you must go through a creaking door and down a flight of stairs that also creak each step. I heard knock knock knock but nothing came up or down the stairs or through the main door. I sure as hell did not want to open the door because I was not expecting anyone at that time. So WTF? I think this place may be haunted but I'm not to the point where I am terrified enough to move out. Maybe when I get cold chills and objects start flying off the shelves I will consider moving but for now I will stay put.

It's gonna sound silly, but I'm not someone who just writes something off as coincidence. I can't really say I believe in ghosts or bound spirits or what have you in the commonly accepted sense, but I'm also not one to write off something as ridiculous if I don't know enough about it to know better. There have been at least a few times when I spoke to someone standing behind me as I sat in my chair, playing videogames, only to look back and no one was there. I felt a presence there, but I was by myself. Other times, I'd be out walking by myself when I was littler and think I hear someone calling me by my first name in the distance when there's no one there. I chalk it up to my bored subconscious playing tricks on me, but as someone else frequently says in a Discord server I'm in, I'm open to suggestion.

On the other hand, I used to frequently have very surreal, extremely vivid dreams, in which I would retain almost all of my senses and live through a variety of apocalyptic scenarios involving freakish weather disasters and horribly disfigured, vicious mutants, so it could very well also be a serious mental condition I've yet to have diagnosed.

I'm not going to downgrade or disrespect here but I have known people who have 'heard' ghosts talking to them and some of them have replied back to said ghosts...

[edit] They would hear ghosts calling their name in their house, and they would reply back with "What?!"

Obviously there was no ghost... it was all in their head

My suggestion is to call a paranormal team, expert ones. Not those that are fake. They can help the spirit of this person and perhaps ask why its haunting and what lead to its death. Something as serious as that needs to be addressed I don't see anything fake in her words if this lady said that she saw a ghost, then she saw one. Plus your starting to experience it too. 

Well, see... It's important to make a distinction between perception and reality. We're all detached from true reality to varying degrees, with some of us much more detached than others. She may very well have thought she saw one, but it's also more likely, at least as we perceive it, that she only thought she saw it. If that makes any sense.

m0ssb3rg935 : That is entirely possible. If you were the responding officer would you have locked this lady up or let her go back to sleep? I guess you would have to determine if drugs are involved first and foremost.

Eniitan : I'm sure there are some paranormal teams here but I have not researched into it. I do know there are a few haunted places nearby and those are well documented in the city history. Either way, I don't feel anything negative myself I think it's just a lost spirit floating around.

tRIUNE : It's really no different then those claiming to speak to God or seeing Jesus burned into a piece of toast. Is that all in their heads too? Sometimes it's better to believe instead of discrediting them immediately as a mental patient.

Not sure how much I'd believe if I was in that situation, as I've heard stuff before that I'm pretty sure was just me imagining it, but I also hate just dismissing stuff.

But meh, I've experienced some weird stuff before so if it is a ghost I hope it's friendly XD

JigSaw : Exactly my point lol, its not a bad spirit it a good one. good spirits tend to play with people of the living so that they don't feel too lonely see? Paranormal team can help this spirit rest in peace if they sort it out.

I'd probably get laughed off the case, but I would have her taken in for evaluation and testing to make sure she wasn't on drugs or showing any other signs of mental disorder. If nothing comes back and she doesn't have a history of being unstable, I'd probably let her go. It's not unreasonable to think that someone can think they saw a ghost without them being on drugs or insane if they believe in them. Whether she did or not, the imagination's a very powerful thing.

I'm not discrediting them though; see, I know that 'ghosts' exist, except they aren't really ghosts but they are demons. Demons are spirits. The spirits are the same as 'ghosts'. Also, demons are fallen angels; angels are also spirits.

I've seen a ghost before. I was driving, and I swore I saw a car turned over with an ambulance and aa woman crying over her daughter. So yeah, I beleive in ghosts. 

That being said, 911 when I see a ghost might be how I would react, but I would say it's an overreaction.
