That's right, Mega Man is returning in an official capacity. Mega Man 11 has just been officially announced, coupled with a video to show us some of the gameplay. Aside from the gameplay, all we know is that there's a late 2018 release window, and the fact that Kazuhiro Tsuchiya and Koji Oda, people who have worked on previous Mega Man titles, are a part of the team, and that the game was secretly teased months ago, tucked away amidst the art for the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.

Mega Man is one of the most popular as well as iconic franchises of all time. Mega Man is often ranked in the top 10 as well as top 5 video game icons. However Capcom has really not done anything with their icon in the last 7/8 years. 

Mega Man 10 came out around 2010 and it was good. A few years ago they were going to do a collection of all the Game Boy Mega Man games but that got canceled. Three maybe four years ago they were going to create Mega Man Legends 3. However, Co- Mega Man creator Kenji Infanute walked out and left in disgusts on how Capcom was treating him. Thus, Mega Man Legends 3 was canned. I hope Mega Man 11 gets made but considering the last Mega Man game was in 2010 and the problems Capcom is having it makes me wonder.
