So, the October VCS starts tonight at midnight server time.

"Everyday from 12 AM to 12 AM server time every post that you make will get counted and the top 10 people with the most posts in that time frame will get points. 1st place gets 10 points, and 10th place gets 1 point.

These points are added up over the month of July and whoever has the most points at the end of the month wins the VCS. It's pretty simple.

However, I word of warning. This is not a spamming competition. The entire staff is on the look-out over the next month for anyone who they think is spamming in order to win this competition. That doesn't mean you can't post a lot... but make sure your posts are good quality ones. I will not hesitate to ban you for a day if I catch you spamming. If you get banned you don't get any points for that day and missing out on a single day can cause you to lose.

So, good luck. Results will be posted here at the end of each day (or early the next morning if I'm too tired). Good luck to everyone who is participating!"

I don't have any intentions of making lots of posts... but I imagine I will be making quite a few regardless. And while I again will claim to not want to win this one... I might end up trying for it before the month is over. I just can't resist the chance to win another VCS

Well, here we go again, spam fest ahoy.
Dont expect me to put in any sort of effort this time.
I havnt been getting enough posts to keep up with the daily posts the last month anyway, so I doubt I'll change my current posting habbits just cause of VCS.

I wish I hadn't to attend so many courses and teaching practices
If I had free time, I would be as active as I could. But now...I don't think that I'll change my posting habbits much too.
If I end up being in the final top 10, I'll be glad, even with the 10th place,lol
So, I guess nobody has to worry much about me as a rival during this VCS,lol

sounds like alot of work though for the mods

it is and it isn't.... we do let things go a little bit more slack during the VCS month. We still ban for all the normal rules... but we do give people more leeway when they do stuff. We understand some people get a bit more excited about the VCS than others.

Oh well, 2nd place on the first day's really good in my books, I'll call it a night soon enough.

yeah, sometimes getting 2nd and not posting like crazy is the smarter thing to do. Posting 200 times in a day doesn't get you anywhere if 2nd place is at 40 ....
