I voted for Mario Kart because it has all the fun in racing and with a mario comic twist! Grand Turismo which was released for the PS one and was kind of the competition for the famous Mario Kart focused on making the game more realistic. The game is both graphically and realisticlly better than Mario Kart but it still lacked the fun and multiplayer compatibility that Mario Kart had. (Both are good games tho)

I used to be addicted to Gran Turismo. I'd have to say I much prefer Gran Turismo, because I'm a fan of the realistic type games and GT5 is crazily realistic. Mario Kart is a lot better for multiplayer though.

I like both but the Sim racing things are kinda my specialty so I went with Gran Turismo, but a good game that's kinda like mario kart but with stylish modern graphics is split/second. You get to blow other cars up but still have racing skill involved as well, it is really fun.

I'd go with Mario Kart, any time, anywhere. With Gran Turismo, you HAVE to be into those super realistic simulation racing games, because it won't be fun otherwise. I haven't played a single Mario kart game that me and all my friends have ever played less than 10000 hours when we play it..Lol.

I haven't played GT, but I love the gameplay of Mario Kart. I'm one of those people who deliberately starts out in last just so I can blast everyone to bits, then speed into first.

Besides that, how many games can you play with your friends where one of them will suddenly freak out when he/she gets hit by a Blue Shell right before the finish line and comes in last?

The GT series is a sweet video game franchise that changed the racing genre forever with it's innovation.

I don't really see how you can compare the two games, sure they are both racing games but one is supposed to be a realistic sim and the other an arcade style game maximizing fun. Personally I think they are both great franchises that can co-exist in harmony.
