Well as you can all see, the New Board Experience has launched!

If for some reason you're still seeing old graphics, simply press Ctrl + F5, because you're browser is probably caching the old graphics. You may need to do this for multiple pages.

What's new on the New Experience?
-Chat Bar
At the bottom of every page, you'll see a chat bar which lets you chat with your friends, tells you which friends are online and also lets you either create or enter a user created chat room and chat with others (this is based on the cometchat plugin I purchased but spent an entire day alone modifying and working on). You can disable the plugin in the edit profile page, or you can simply make it so that it appears on the index only.

-All new graphics and scheme
Completely updated graphics and a new design which makes navigating the site easier and quicker

-Friends list
You can add users to your friends list but either going to the Control Panel and than to Friends List, or you can add them from their profile

-Status Bar
Below the banner you will see a status bar which now shows who is also on that page for every single page

-You now get 100 Viz for coming to vizzed board each day (before it was 50)

-Up to date Online Users
Because of the chat bar, it updates your online status every 60 seconds as long as your on vizzed board. So even if you've been replying or reading a thread for more than 5 minutes, it'll still show you as being online

-Help Links
This isn't finished yet but I plan to make terminology that users are unfamiliar with clickable links (as you can see, the word 'viz' is a clickable link in most areas which now takes you to a page telling you how to earn it and what it is

-Optimization
Many pages have been optimized so that they put less strain on the server and also make the page load faster

-About Us page
Gives detailed information about vizzed from general information, credits, privacy policy, disclaimer and some history

-Updated Index
Gives a little more information, has a google search and also encourages users to bookmark the page

-Viz Center
Gives you your referral link (like before) but also shows your Viz count, has a donation button and has a link you can click for more information

-Etc



Please report any problems you may have with the new experience here but PLEASE be specific and detailed. It's not quite finished but I figured it was far enough along to go live.

Is the arcade gone, or has it just been moved somewhere else?

Any link I consider to be not as important has been placed into the Control Panel, such as the flash games and the arcade.

It is neat, but I miss my starry night background. So far, I like it overall... but it won't take me to my profile.

Elara: Yea I had to get rid of those other schemes since they weren't made for Vizzed. I'll eventually make some of my own schemes and also make the old scheme available. What do you mean it wont take you to your profile? Your profile just doesn't appear?

I like it too. It looks very cool, very modern.

David: By old scheme do you mean the old "Daily Cycle" scheme or the complete old board style?

The one we just recently had before this new scheme.

Just wanted to say that I found out how to make permanent chat rooms, for now I have 'General Chat', any others I should make which would be permanent?

Oh, just thought I'd add what I think should be permanent chat rooms.
Probably the help / question forum, so that people who are too lazy to go to the actual
forum, or for some reason don't understand that's where they should go, can have a place to
ask their questions and get help more immediately.

And also maybe the cafe corner or the post about yourself, so people can talk to the
other members about themselves and get to know each other better.

Dude, this is sweet-lookin now! And I've been thinking there needed to be a chat bar for a while, but I knew you guys must've thought about that, so I didnt want to say anything. But this looks so freaking cool! Much better than before, more professional, more eye-catching. Good job David!

Thanks you guys, put a lot of time into the design, layout and features, easily 80 hours (probably 100 by the time I'm completely done).

Maybe like a Game Lounge for a chatroom. I think you should get rid of the chat boxex in the RGR though, there's no point for them now really. Besides they don't seem to get that much attention.

Well I have the Chat Bar disabled for users with less than 10 posts when their in the game room (to reduce server strain).
