If you don't live under a rock, you would know that FNAF 4 Is coming out in October 31st, and plenty of people are excited as hell over it. Me, personally, I just wish this wasn't announced, because FNAF 3 was truly for me the end, because the Damned spirits can rest after over 35 years, The purple man went to hell,and springtrap was burned to ashes. It is highly unlikely a new story can surface from that, because it tied up all the loose ends. what do you think?

Of course it's just a cash grab. That's really what all video games are, as well as books and movies. There was no need for a second Aladdin movie, 3 Home Alone sequels, etc. and they were flat out awful. But if something is popular and the company that made it thinks there is more money to be made from it they are going to milk as much money out of is as they can.

Honestly it seemed like a cash grab to me already starting with the second game, if it wasn't I think the 3rd game made it pretty clear and the fact that there's another one coming just solidifies it for me. Keep in mind this is honestly, just my opinion, I'm not against people liking it.

But I mean it's largely the same concept in any FNaF game, just they add like one or two mechanics to make it different and some animatronics and then pass it off as another game, what's worse is that they've even gotten worse with every consecutive installment, the 1st was good, the 2nd was meh mostly added mechanics that we're annoying but was still somewhat enjoyable I guess and the 3rd was just flatout awful shovelware and unfair, just plain unenjoyable in my opinion.

I mean I get why some people may like the story, being able to come up with theories about the lore and all that, but it seems so barebones to me that, it more or less seems like the writer was too lazy to come up with something in terms of story, it's like (story? pfft who cares, here's some characters, you figure it out).

And of course, that also makes it easier to have ridiculously, short release cycles that allows the developers, to make a bunch of money on things that take barely take any time to develop...

If it was me, I'd stopped after the first game when the concept was still fresh and moved on to trying to make something else, that's why everyone liked the game to begin with (well at least why I did), because it was a new concept, a new style of gameplay even if it was a bit nonsensical (I mean power required to shut doors?







But yeah if you despite knowing of this still enjoy it, I'm not going to try and stop you, I just don't get it I'm afraid.

I personally have never been a fan of the franchise. With that being said, I have no doubt that the series is just a big cash grab. That's all it is. I have no doubt that this game will be just about the same as the other ones. I don't get why people keep buying those games.

FNAF is literally the definition of a cash grab franchise.
Various games made in quick succession with little to no changes in their game play, none of them are really that good.
It just went viral, it's not good at all.
There's no doubt in my mind that it is one.
The only thing keeping the fan base (Which isn't a good one) together is the so called "Interesting and complex story" which is literally "Guy kills children, children haunt a pizzaria", it's simple but disguised by not giving you it right away, which makes people think "Oh, I have to think a bit, which means it must be complex"
It's not even a horror/terror game, as it has no real atmosphere of terror. It's not scary. It's a shock-simulator which get's boring/annoying after 5 jump scares.

Sorry if I got a bit ranty, but my 2 cents.

It's not really doing anything different than what games like Pokemon do. They know people will buy them so they make more. That's how all games are.

Yep, it's a cash grab in my opinion. Scott better enjoy the money because the way he made so many quick releases he's earned himself a bad name among all but the FNAF fans sadly, so without some redemption he won't seel much else after the series ends. If he ever goes to make another series, I hope he can shed that image. I have nothing against him or the series though, if it's your cup of tea, go for it.
