Well, i will be going to Six Flags tomorrow for the first time in my life. I will be going to the one in New Jersey and I am really excited. This will be just the 2nd time I have ever gone to an official park.  Have you been to Six Flags or any other big parks before? WHich one did you go to, what were some of your favorite things to do there and what was the experience like?

The other park I went to was the legoland place in Florida.

My experiences with Six Flags have been a mixed bag. I have had both wonderful and hellish experiences there. I would highly suggest going on a non-crowded day. Otherwise, the trip won't be worth it, imo. Your experience may be different, though. It was BOILING the day I went that it was packed with people. Standing in the heat for 30 minutes to an hour per ride was NOT worth it. The next trip more than made up for it, however.

Six Flags is great, it's just too often tainted by long wait times, like any big amusement park.

I haven't been to Six Flags before, but I have been at an amusement before back in 2007, but I forget what the park was called though.

Although they used to be a Six Flags in my hometown (Six Flags in New Orleans), but the park was closed down due to suffering major damage from Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, and it has never opened again since the Hurricane. That did disappointed me because after looking at some of the images of the park, I wanted to go to that. But since that Six Flags closed down, the nearest one from me is Six Flags Over Texas in Dallas, TX.

I never went  to Six Flags before, and honestly, I don't think my grandma wants to take me there, since she isn't too positive about it. I have been to a few parks before. I went to one yesterday, though I wouldn't call it a big park. It was average size with a few decent rides. I had a lot of fun there, and since it was Wednesday, it wasn't that packed, and there was only one ride where I had to wait around half an hour in a line to ride on. Everything else was either a short line or none. I'm sure going to a park during the weekend would be a lot more crowded.

I also went to a few others parks before. I went to Disney when I was young, been to Hershey Park multiple times, and I went to Bush Gardens last year. They were all quite fun, though most of the time, I had to wait in line for a long time more than once, and the weather was usually very hot. I love riding on roller coasters during amusement parks, and I like other fun rides too. Still, I have yet to go to Six Flags, though it would be nice to go sometime soon.

Hope you have fun there Zandy!

I have been to three Six Flags locations - Houston ( Astroworld ), Dallas ( Over Texas ) and San Antonio ( Fiesta Texas ). The parks themselves are great but the massive crowds there can put a damper on things.

Right now, I'm actually on the bus to the park. We just left a few minutes ago and its a 3 hour ride.

The trip was awesome. This is the first time that I went on a "real" roller coaster and I had so much fun. I went on 7 difefrent roller coasters, a couple other rides and spent some time at the arcade. The roller coasters were so much fun and my favorite was the Nitro which was crazy.
