   For the last two weeks, I've been doing a Nuzlocke challenge on my old Pokémon Gold cart. It's old, and like many from that generation, the save data no longer works. So, of course, a few days ago, my GBA SP randomly turned off, and I lost all my data. I was just about to fight the 4th gym, and by this point, was attached to the Pokémon I had, and it was really disappointing when it all went down the drain.
   
   Have you ever had something like that, where your game data mysteriously deletes, and how far were you in that game?

I remember my Startropics game data getting deleted simply because I forgot to hold the reset button on the my NES. I was near the end of the game too. :'( 

By the way you can replace the battery inside that Gameboy cartridge. It uses one of those small lithium batteries to keep the save files saved. By now its dead so with the right tools you can replace it.

Oh yes. It's mainly ds games with me. But I've lost Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island DS, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart Wii, Super Scribblenauts, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Ocarina of Time. :L I was pretty far into all of them.

I lost a HUGE chunk of data on the Gamecube when one of my memory cards got corrupted. Lost all my Chaos Chao from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Was around half way through the game) and lost all my progress on Mario Superstar Baseball, which infuriated me since I was one character away from completing the game. I'm pretty sure I lost my Paper Mario Thousand Year Door data (On the 7th chapter) and  Super Mario Sunshine data (Had almost all the blue coins and over half the Shine sprites) as well.
My mini self died a little that day...

Chrono Cross. I lost around 20-40 hours of gameplay (I really don't remember) because the data mysteriously got corrupted. Since then I've been very paranoid about save data.

G@mehe@d : Yeah, I've seen stuff on it, but I don't really play it enough to spend the time on it. If I'm going to do it again, I most likely will do it with an emulator to keep it safe. Although, I don't think Crystal has this problem though.

I once unlocked quite a few characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee.  I had Dr. Mario, Jigglypuff, Luigi, etc.  Then one day I wanted to play it again and the gamecube said the memory card was corrupted and I needed to make a new save.  Needless to say, that sucked.

I remember playing Half-Life on the PS2, since it has a quick save option I was only using that(Quick save only sets a checkpoint, it doesn't really save the game.) But then all of a sudden the electricity goes away. I lost my whole progress because of it.

No..i never had my game data mysteriously deleted...but i didnt erase data from my pokemon White...and i had many legendary pokemon. So after a few minutes i realized i shouldnt done that.

The data on my gamecube memory card got corrupted. I was near the end of the fourth temple on my Zelda collectors edition majoras mask. I also lost all of my Mario sunshine data. I was at the final boss fight. I lost ALL of my data on Pikmin one and Pikmin 2. I had beat one and was at the end of 2.
