this will be kind of a strange request. i don't know if you read the post i made in the cafe corner, but i have a bad case of OCD. and i honestly feel like i have satanic demons in my head. i currently live in shanghai and finding an english bible is very difficult here. i have been here for 3 years, i seen them a few times b efore i had my OCD episode. and never since.
the question i am asking is a little strange, but would be very well appreciated. I will give you my address. Could someone please send me a catholic holy bible.

But your best bet would be to find a catholic church and have them take a look at you if you think that there are some type of powers that can heal you.

But it will all depend on your attitude towards it, your beliefs, and how bad (chemically) your problem is, because sometimes a psychosymatic treatment can help but sometimes it can't.

I'm gonna tell you something and everyone has it in them. We all have angels and demons in us. We all have the ability to do good and evil in this world. The choice is yours, choose a path and take it. Just know that no matter what religion you are or how much you dedicate your self to it, evil exists. Overcoming the evil's power is something you must do on your own. No pills or books will change it, if your strong enough to fight those demons on your own you will overcome it If you were possessed, you would have no control so you still have power in you it's a matter of altering your thinking patterns and finding a bible is a start but definitly not the cure to all problems.

It was. But bible was not banned, only the christianity.

It's not pirated on the internet. The bible is like open source, anyone can take it and do what they want with it.
It's completely perfectly legal to read it online.
You should look at using a proxt server or something to view pages that are blocked

I think that you'd be best off starting out with psychiatric help. If it doesn't, then try religion.

Generally Catholics are the ones that do the exorcisms... at least I assume that is part of why you want one.

However, as Ziggy said, I think you should try seeing a psychiatrist first. It it is just a particularly sever case of OCD then a Bible will not help you much, as the disease is chemical and not spiritual. However, if you want the book just to study and learn about the religion then by all means, go right ahead. I personally feel that all people should learn more about religions other than their own, I think it promotes understanding and I wish that more people would do it.

As someone who has also been diagnosed with OCD, I can say that my faith and supportive friends helped me far more than any psychiatrist (or any of the drugs they gave me.) The spiritual and physical are intertwined, especially in the area of mental health. After all, didn't God create our bodies? I'm not like, trying to be anti-doctor or anything, but God should be a constant presence in a believer's life, not a last resort for when medicine fails.

I think I've got an extra Bible around here somewhere. I don't know if it's a Catholic one though. The Catholic version has a few extra books, right? (Please pardon my ignorance...)

The reason I push the doctor is more because of the "satanic demon in the head" thing. Attempting an exorcism isn't going to make OCD go away.

If you really are being afflicted by demons; I wouldn't go to a shrink. It would be marked off as a mental disease. The best thing to do, and it might not sound all that reliable, but get closer to God. As a christian we have authority over demon's, but to play it safe I would seek help from a minister. What ever you do; DON'T SHOW FEAR!!

Really? I disagree with this. If that were true then people wouldn't have needed the apostles or Jesus to come by and expel demons from them. Heck there was a time when even Peter was unable to do it and Jesus had to do it for him.

I'm not saying that your faith can't be sufficient for you to be protected... but I don't believe the average Christian has power over demons.

I don't mean authority as in; we can just tell demon's to do whatever we want them to do, and then they will do it; if that's what you think that I meant if not oops. I mean authority as in we have the power through God to protect and defend ourselves from them. Peter couldn't do it because as Jesus put it, he didn't have enough faith to do it. There were people who were allowed to cast out demon's Jesus talks about these people when the disciples got angry and brought it up with Jesus. I don't think people could do it back then because only certain people had the power of God dwelling with them.

I see those as 2 different things.

Having the protection from demons and evil spirits because you're a Christian (or a strong religious person) is different than having the power to expel a demon from someone else.

Different... how so? The only difference in having the power to send demon's away from us and sending them away from other people as I see it is the other person's faith, but I fully believe that a true follower of Christ has the power to defend himself and expel demon's from other people through Jesus. I guess I do see a difference in that it takes greater strength to expel a demon than to protect himself. Nevertheless I still see it as something that can be done by a true follower in Christ if he has the faith.

there is a diffrence between having the authority to command in God's name that something happen (Matt 10:1 for instance) and praying to God with faith that you'll be protected, healed etc.

I do believe that any Christian who has enough faith can, in the name of Jesus and through the use of God's word, expel demons. It is an authority He has given us, but it must be attempted through Him, like "in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, come out!" or something like that.
