I only really cuss if I get hurt (i.e. slamming my finger in a door). I find people at my school swear alot just to "fit in" with the cool crowd. You don't need to swear to fit in, I don't swear and I'm generally pretty popular.

I t doesn't bother me if people swear when they are talking or on the computer, but I do fins it annoying if people are in a place with little kids, or even on this site where there are younger kids and they just swear up a storm. I find it disrespectful to use swear terms at an inapropriate time.

Think about the reason you're swearing before you do. It's usually just to emphasize your anger or something like that. It really has no point. You could probably get in trouble if you were swearing on Vizzed. In some cases you can get banned. Just swear out loud at home if you really have to.

Honestly, I "swear" all of the time. To me it is just part of vernacular language and most of it has no real hurtful meaning unless you give it one... and honestly you can make any word sound like it should be a swear word if you say it a certain way. Seriously, call someone a pony like it is an insult, say it like you mean it and for that split second before they realize what you said, that person will react the same way as if you had called them a "real swear word".

I try not to curse around small children and old people, but generally I don't have a problem with it. I mean if someone is telling you a story if you are out drinking with friends or something and they happen to casually swear. I don't mind it at all. They are just words.

geeogree : I disagree. I do not use language much but there is a time and place for anything. Really it is not a "pathetic" Thing to do. It is one of the more powerful things you could do people when you think of the meaning of the words. When bad stuff like really deep stuff happens I find my self cussing and when people say it is weak I do not think so.

I personally try not to swear on this board but in public and around my friends I'm worse then a sailor on leave. Using vulgar terms make you look unintelligent and ignorant to boot, that and in public like at the mall or store where there could be little children around make it wrong too.
