Pokemon Go was massive when it came out, and it had the effect on the world of Pokemon that Wii Sports did for Pokemon. Several years after its release, it remains popular with every age group, and it's gained quite a lot of features since its initial release, such as battle leagues, Team Rocket / shadow Pokemon, and the raid system.

When the pandemic hit, distances were increased and the Remote Raid Pass was introduced, allowing people to invite friends to raids, meaning people can go to raids without having to physically go to the GYM. This means, with a third party app, you can find an invitation to a raid anywhere in the world.

The PokeDex has also expanded, now having many Pokemon up to the Hisuian region.

Do you still play Pokemon Go? If not, what made you stop? If you do, what are your stats? What's your favorite thing about the game?

I'm level 35 but 36 is only 100k XP away. My Johto dex is complete, I just need a Mr. Mime from Kanto, 5 more from Hoenn, and 10 more in Sinnoh.

I occasionally still play, but I wouldn't say I play it all the time or anything like that. The last I played consistently was when the Team Rocket pokemon had joined, and I remember that actually was pretty fun, but the shadow pokemon were so bad it wasn't even worth it.

I'm roughly level 34 or so, I don't remember. I played a lot back in the day, I remember playing on Turtwig community day, I still have a bunch of Shiny turtwigs.

It's been an awfully long time since I last played it. I liked the concept, but I just didn't go outside that much to justify keeping it on my phone. The times I went outside I mainly took the underground to go places, therefore nullifying the effect of the game.

Once my routine clears up by February, maybe I could re-install it again. Now that I live alone, I've come to "hate" my previous persona of being secluded at home, wanting to feel lively and active by doing things outside. Thus, going around the hood to see what Pokemon I encounter or even going to certain places with the added bonus of Go are plans I'm absolutely in for.

Looks like the game has indeed received a ton of updates since I last played it, so I better gather some more information on how things go (pun intended) right now. I don't think said updates will make me refrain from playing it, but I won't know for sure until I dig deeper.

It's been a very long time since the last time that I played it consistently. Every now and then I'll see some people talk about it because of some event so I'll download it again and play for a day or two and then forget about it for a few months. Back in 2016 I probably put in like 100 hours a month but since the start of 2020 I probably played for like 10-20 hours a year.

I haven't played Pokemon GO in a few years. I don't hate it or anything. I just lost interest in it.

I did play Pokemon Go back when it was really popular ion 2016 then around 2020-2021 when i found interest in the game. Might install it again and see what changes they made to the game since then.

i don't anymore, i guess it was kinda boring i don't know.

I honestly would still play it here and there if it wasn't for the fact that I have no storage on my phone and can't seem to delete enough for it to stop telling me so unfortunately no I don't play Pokemon Go anymore.

I still have it downloaded on my phone, but I only open it up a couple times a month. I did get back into it at the end of 2021 when they were giving out remote raid passes (since I never do them in person), but after a couple months, I reverted back to only playing on Community Day each month if the featured pokémon is cool or I don't already have it's shiny form.

I still do. I am not open to adding people, at the moment, however, because my friends list is full. I'm at 400.

Not gonna lie, the change to the remote raid stuff really hurt my ability to play in raids and it has for a lot of people. Can't pay twice the price to have less people join in, and local raids became a lot more sparse ever since. Hopefully it'll be fixed but not looking good.

Stopped playing it after a week. Not my type of game (nerds)

If this was still 2021 and I was actively going out and exercising I would of said yes haha. I loved playing the game during my walks and generally kept up with it for a good while, but then I suddenly started to get really sweaty and the process of walking during these hot afternoons became less and less appealing to me. Then I started to work more as a commission artist and that's when it pretty much died down for me.

The game *is* enjoyable if you're not trying to eye it every so often and grind for stats. It becomes miserable though when you start to factor in that stuff and really just became a chore. I haven't opened the game up in nearly a year.

I do get on a few times a week.

Honestly yes, every now and again I get the urge especially if there's a fun community day happening or an event which some cute holiday related pokemon which a hat or costume. Then I definitely jump back into the game, other than that I ignore it and just leave it on my phone.

Commuinty Day Classic Squirtle will be the next community day. It will be Saturday July 9, from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.
It will be a big event, and you never really see Squirtle so this will be good.

I'm now less then 250,000 Xp away from level 35! What level are you in Pokemon Go? I've been really active on Pokemon Go in the past month.

Shadow raids are hard though.

Currently, I play Pokémon go pretty often actually.
I'm level 36 at the moment, and have a good variety of Pokémon.
Though, I'm kind of bored with the game, but I still try to be active.
