My answer has changed significantly recently because most of the things that I needed aren't needed anymore.

The big things that I would get are a Mac Book and a professional camera for both work and school and a good guitar so that I can play some sick beats.

Then I would buy a bunch of baseball cards for my collection. A lot of single cards for me to collect and a couple of boxes to see what I can get.

Lastly, I would put some money into the stock market and get shares of 2 or 3 good companies to hold for the future.

Actually, my answer's changed some since my last post, too. It is, however, still specific to my situation.

I'd either take it and put it towards living with a roommate while I find work after the relocation, or I'd by a minivan or small SUV and make that my home. Cost of living for a vehicle is surprisingly manageable.

With 20,000 dollars? I'd put in a downpayment on an actual house, and start living in a perfect place I can customize however I desire (and I'd be looking into building an in-ground swimming pool and basketball court).

With 20,000 I would place it in a Certificate of Deposit. Stocks are tad wonky right now and I prefer having a long term investment so a CD seems ideal, without any risks. Granted I won’t get my money back in a set time but it’s worth it
