Pokemon Silver review   SacredShadow
Hey guys, today I will be reviewing an awesome pokemon game on the game boy color...pokemon silver! This is one of my favorite game boy color games and I enjoyed every bit of playing this game, it is a lot of fun and I would highly recommend giving it a try because it is worth your time. This game is a sequel to red, blue, and yellow, it has been 3 years since ash pursued his quest to become the master of pokemon...since then much has changed...Now then, onto the review!
Graphics: 9
I am just going to say right now, the graphics for this game are superb and for this game in particular I think it is perhaps the best used in the system. When compared to its predecessors or even games like pokemon crystal, the graphics are phenomenal, before they were fuzzy and they would glitch out frequently when you were in a battle, well not anymore! The graphics may be the same as before, but they are in color and it looks much better and more appealing to look at. These graphics are the best for the game boy in my opinion and they they are a huge step up from pokemon red and blue. The best part about it was that it was in color and that just makes all the difference and makes it more appealing and fun to play altogether. I also like the graphics because buildings and walls are easier to make out now since it is in color rather than just black and white, so that is another plus to the graphics part of this game. So considering that this game came out in 2000, the graphics are really good and a huge step up from red and blue, therefore I scored it a 9 overall.
Sound: 8
The sound of this game is pretty good and the best part is that new themes and music were added that weren't previously in red and blue, or even yellow. All of the pokemon have their own unique cry when entering and fainting in battle and they aren't glitchy or similar to one another. As for the music part of the game, I thought it was decent, sure it can get q a bit annoying when the little music and tones repeat itself with every step you take in the game, I didn't really pay much mind to it though and I don't think it is a good enough reason for you to not play this game because it is like this in most pokemon games to begin with, this one is no exception. Nevertheless, it shouldn't make you not want to play the game, Personally I find the new tunes and music in the game to be rather catchy. One thing that I did find quite interesting about the music in the game is that your rival gets some cool new battle music, its probably not a big deal, but I thought I would just mention for those of you who didn't already know. So overall I scored the sound/music an 8 which I think is pretty fair considering you get some cool new tunes and the music itself is rather catchy despite being rather repetitive at times. Nevertheless though, those catchy little tunes are just classic and whenever you hear them, you just think of pokemon, so despite being repetitive, they are also a catchy part of the game.
Addictiveness: 10
Out of all the words that could be used to describe this game, I think addicting fits the job quite nicely, I was hooked on this game from the moment I played it, if I recall I think my play time on it was 500 hours, if not more, so yeah I was pretty addicted to this game. Part of the reason for it being so addicting is because there is so much more you can in this game that you weren't able to do with its predecessors, a good example would be that now your pokemon can carry items, (like berries for instance) while battling, and you also have this handy new item called a pokegear that has several useful little features like a map, a phone and a radio. Another significant difference is that you can keep track of the time of day and the week in this game which you couldn't do before, pokemon in this game also learn new techniques as well, so those are some subtle differences in this game. You also have to trade pokemon between silver and gold in order to complete the pokedex, so it is necessary to trade between them and its predecessors if you want to complete the pokedex. Overall I find this game very addicting, besides being a great pokemon game, there are a lot of new things and side quests you can venture on that make the game all the more exciting and replayable, so for that I gave the addictiveness a well deserved 10. I can definitely see myself playing this game again in the near future. I would suggest you give it a try as well, it is worth your time to give it a try, there are so many new features that contribute to it being so addicting!
Story: 9
The story is pretty much the same as it always is, you are the protagonist/hero of the game and you are on a quest to become the best pokemon trainer ever. You go pay professor Elm a visit and you pick between chikorita, totodile and cyndaquil as your starter and from there you collect 8 gym badges and then beat the elite 4 as well as the champion in the end to become the new champion of the region. And just when you think it is over, now you can work on completing and filling up the pokedex and collecting 100 new pokemon! Along the way you will encounter team Rocket, once you beat them, you can travel back to the Kanto region and you can see how much has changed in 3 years and also beat its 8 gyms. After defeating its gym leaders, you can visit Mt silver which has some pretty cool and powerful pokemon, and Red, whom you can challenge for perhaps the most challenging battle in the game, so be ready! So overall the story of the game is interesting and I think it is pretty cool that you can go back to the Kanto region ad go back and beat the elite 4 again. Overall a pretty decent storyline and plot, thus, I scored it a 9. If anything I think this game has an exceptional storyline compared to other pokemon games, most of which are just beating gyms and the elite 4 and then becoming champion whereas this game is a little different. It is this slight difference that earned it a 9.
Depth: 10
I would say that if this game is anything, it offers a lot to do. Aside from having a long storyline to follow, and collecting 8 gym badges in the new Johto region, you then beat the elite 4 and the champion and you're done right? WRONG! You can also travel back to the Kanto region and beat their 8 gyms, so altogether that is 16 gyms you beat in total, so it is going to require you to spend more time training and preparing to take on these gyms, which is why I scored the depth higher than I normally would for most pokemon games as far as depth goes. And as I said before, there is a lot of other new features like a night and day system in which certain pokemon will appear on certain days in which you can adjust the length of each day (daylight savings time), so you can adjust your clock accordingly for that. One other interesting new thing is that you can breed pokemon together to make babies to fill up your pokedex, you out them in the daycare and then check up with the guy to see if the pokemon like each other and if the conditions are right, then they will make an egg. Pretty simple. And along with that, you have a bunch of new pokemon to add to your dex just like you did in red and blue. Overall there is a decent amount of stuff to keep you busy with this game, It took me about 2 to 2.5 weeks to finally beat this game, but I can safely say that it does guarantee you a good few days of game play. Overall I gave the depth a 10 because this game does offer a good amount of content that will keep you busy.
Difficulty: 7
To be honest, I don't think this game is all that difficult, plot wise, you just need to follow and do what everyone tells you and you will be fine. if there is anything I have learned from pokemon, it is to talk to everybody in the game because you never know when someone might have valuable information to help you on your quest. As for actual training and gym leaders, I would just say to make sure you put some time into making a good, well balanced team and also taking the time to train them properly. Don't ever try to rush through it with under leveled pokemon because you will soon regret it later on in the game. Just take the extra time to train them and teach them some worth while moves and you should be in good shape. And as always, be sure to have a balanced team to pan out your weaknesses and coverage against other pokemon types you will be facing in each gym. Also, I would say it is a good idea just to have a few potions handy just in case, you don't have to, but I think it would be a good idea to have some potions and berries at your disposal if you should need to use them later on. The biggest challenge you will be faced with will be defeating the champion, so by then you should have a solid, strong, high leveled team and it would be wise to stock up on potions there as well. All I can say from there is take your training count and do your best to win. As for completing the pokedex, there will be pokemon you need to trade with other players which can be a little frustrating, but that is the only way to complete the dex. So taking all this into consideration, I would rate the difficulty of this game a 7 to 7.5. It isn't overwhelmingly hard or super easy, but as long as you come prepared and you have strong pokemon, you'll be fine. You don't even need to be a pokemon expert in this game to be able to beat it, a balanced team and some potions will do the job just fine.
Overall: 9.7
Well I must say I enjoyed every second of playing this great game, it was totally worth it and I had a great time with all the little extra stuff that this game provides. I would say it is a big step up from blue and red and I think I liked this even more than crystal. Its a close call though. I would highly recommend this game if you have played blue and red and if you are in search of a challenge because I ensure you this will grant you hours of fun gameplay with all the extra stuff this game has to offer. I would consider this in my list of top 5 favorite pokemon games, it is also a great edition if you have a gameboy color, I highly recommend it and I think it is worth a try, you won't regret it!
So, what did you think of my review? If you have any comments or questions or constructive criticism, please feel free to comment on my review so I can become a better reviewer. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

THE WORLD'S FINEST GAME   Postman3
THE GRAPHICS are among the best used in the Game Boy Color system. They are much better when compared to Pokémon Crystal. Pokémon Crystal was supposed to be the more advanced game, yet the sprites for Pokémon Crystal would blip weirdly when battles started and when I checked stats. This game has no such difficulties. There was a unique Pokémon in the middle of a lake that had a shiny sprite. I shall not reveal its identity. Play the game and find out for yourself.
THE SOUNDS were mostly new. This game uses many new musical themes that were not heard in Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue or Pokémon Yellow. The one hundred new Pokémon all have their own original animal sound which all Pokémon make when they enter a battle or faint or are viewed on Pokedex or stat screen. Each town has a theme that is almost unique. The second village shares one with one of the northern towns. Your rival gets new special battle music. I believe the Rockets do too.
ADDICTIVE is a strong word that is "right on the money" in this case. I played this game every week for nearly a year. There are so many more things that you can do in this game as compared to its predecessors. If I had not found other games to divide my playtime with, I would perhaps still be playing only this game. That is the degree of Pokémon Silver's addictiveness.
The STORY is an important aspect of most good games. This one has fluid continuity. I can pick up where I left off at any time because the story is so memorable. The storyline is the reason I have kept coming back for more and more; always wanting to complete the things I have started.
No game has more DEPTH. I have played for more than a year now and I can say with certainty that I am halfway through the complete storyline and a third of the way to getting most of my Pokémon to max level 100. There is so much to do that you would have to keep a calendar to fit it all in.
The DIFFICULTY of this game lies not in learning how to play or what controls to use, but in how hard it is to catch your desired Pokémon and raise them to appropriate levels for taking on key trainers. The original set of Pokémon from Generation One, will learn new attacks in this Pokémon Silver Version. It is a mind throbbing experience just to decide which level I want each evolution to take place. It ultimately controls which attacks they will learn and how strong they will be as they grow.
OVERALL this game is a 9.5. Among the best of Pokémon games, it is a great starter game for someone just getting back into Game Boy Color. It was in fact the first game I played upon becoming a new member. I give it the highest of recommendations. It is one of my all time favorites.

Awesome game, very entertaining!   mariahurdler
Graphics: Well the graphics have decent color although very old school, none of that 3rd dimensional gibberish. But that doesn't really change anything inside the game, I mean it would be nice to see some great artwork and details but it's still pretty legit. Unless you really care about seeing details then it really doesn't matter.
Sound: The sound is not worst yet again it is not the best either. The little music that comes out every time you're walking around got me pretty annoyed. Well that's because It's like the same little beats throughout the whole story. There is supposedly a radio in the game in which you could change the tune but the tune changes every time you walk in a different place, which is constantly. It doesn't help much but for one part of whole game. I would just hear something else while playing the game to distract me from it. Many others might not really be bothered by it though.
Addictiveness: I actually played this game a lot when I was a little kid! I recently found this great website and found that I could play all the old games I used to play and this happened to be one of them! So yes! I would definitely play this game again but if you replay it you will already know the whole story line and know what you have to next do with such an ease, so I would recommend taking a break.
Story: Well the story is that the protagonist (you) has a dream to become a great Pokémon trainer, maybe even become the best one out there! First, you are out to complete a little mission, after you find out some thief is out there stealing Pokémon and treating them with no love you go out there and become a loving trainer yourself. With hours of hard work and training you go out there and collect various gym badges and beat the most powerful trainer out there. The end! ... NOT until you complete the pokedex!
Depth: The game goes really into depth with the Pokémon! Not only do you have that long storyline where you have to get all eight gym badges in the Johto region but there is MORE! After you collect all eight Johto region badges there is an other region called Kanto that you discover and there happens to be another eight Pokémon gyms with badges! Making it sixteen gym leaders you have to beat. Not only that, but there is a night and day system. Some certain Pokémon can only be caught during the day and others can only be caught during night. Also, some Pokémon can only be caught on certain days. The time could be changed to make day last longer. (daylight savings time) There where new Pokémon added to this generation of Pokémon as compared to the first generation. That means more Pokémon to complete the pokedex, which means breeding Pokémon to make babies!
Difficulty: This game is really not THAT difficult, well when it comes to talking about  the story line. The answer and solutions are practically given away to you if you read everything the other characters say. All you have to do is keep your Pokémon well trained. I recommend taking some time and dedicate it  to simply raising the Pokémons level by a lot. The more powerful the Pokémon the better! Also, it's good to know the Pokémons weaknesses, some rivals might be easier to defeat if you know their Pokémons weakness. The leaders are not that hard either if you keep your Pokémon well trained and have potions and berries. The most difficult thing overall is beating the most powerful Pokémon trainer in the game, but by then hopefully you have all your Pokémon to a really high level and have TONS of potions! When it comes to completing the WHOLE game, it's a big hassle. In order to complete the Pokedex you need to trade Pokémon with other players, which might be a problem.
Overall: This is a great game that will get you entertained for hours! At the beginning it might be a little frustrating having to get around because it is slow or it might be frustrating to have wild Pokémon pop out so much but hey, that is how you train Pokémon!

My Childhood   dkmec20
Hello everyone, this time I will be reviewing what is my childhood: Pokemon Silver
After Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow took the world by storm in 1998, Game Freak decided to make a sequel to it, these games are Gold, Silver, and Crystal.  Now onto the review:
Graphics: This games' graphics were pretty good for GB games and were the first Pokemon games in color.  Definitely a great updated look from Red and Blue.
Sound: This game features many memorable and catchy tunes such as Goldenrod City's music.  It also includes a Radio Card in which the player can listen to the raido on the Pokegear which includes Professor Oak's Pokemon Show ft. DJ Mary, PokeFlute Station, Pokemon Music, etc.
Addictiveness: This game is addictive mainly because of the storyline and gameplay.  Like any other Pokemon game you may start over to try another team out, however since this game is fairly long because you travel through Johto and Kanto, most kids weren't liable to play through it again.
Story: The story to this game is incredible.  You start out in New Bark Town and have an errand to run for Professor Elm so he gives you the option of which starter Pokemon you would want to take with you on your journey.  You have the option of Cyndaquil, the fire type, Totodile, the water type, and Chikorita, a grass type Pokemon.  However a strange boy who only cares about strong Pokemon challenges you.  He will later become your rival and will challenge you to battles along your journey.  Then you are sent off on your Pokemon Journey, you must defeat the 8 gym leaders of Johto and then challenge the Elite Four and the Champion Lance.  If you defeat Lance you are the new champion of Johto.  However your journey is not over, you must now challenge the 8 gym leaders of Kanto  and defeat the mysterious and powerful Red.
Depth: This game is one of the most depth Pokemon game of the series as you have to travel through two regions rather than one, which is what most other Pokemon games offer.
Difficulty: You may notice my rating is higher than what most Pokemon games are rated, that is because of one dreaded gym leader.  Many have struggled to defeat this powerful gym leader.  It is none other than Goldenrods gym leader Whitney.  Beware of her, for she has a fat cow that has the potential to destroy any Pokemon that stands in its way.
So I hope you liked this review, I felt like I had to make this review for all the old time gamers so enjoy!

Pokemon Silver Review   Bintsy
Pokémon Silver is an amazing game. I remember when I was really young, probably about 8 years old this game was probably my first Nintendo/ Pokémon game. I was so excited to play it and it was really worth it. I have tried out many other Pokémon games but this game hits the 1# favorite out of all the Pokémon games. It's one of those games I come back to over and over and never get bored with. I will get rid of different games or quit playing them but this one is different for me. I can come back to it any day at any time and not get bored with it :P
Graphics (9) The graphics of this game are quite well especially compared to red and yellow and the other versions. It provides color and great visuals when you go into battle mode. Every sense I opened the case to this game the graphics were amazing in my eyes. Some games as I have got older, the graphics just seemed worse and worse, it gets pretty old how much my views change a lot of the time, sometimes I just wish I could keep most of the same views as I had but that isn't the case. This game is completely different. It always gives that beautiful perspective that I am looking for. It's pretty interesting how as I have got older the coloring of games have got different. Not sure if my eyes just changed or if my taste in graphics changed. The graphics still seemed to pop and my views on this games graphics haven't changed one bit. I actually like them better than some of the newer Pokémon graphics.
Sound (9) The sounds in this game are very awesome! They even added newer sounds which is pretty cool. I don't really like most of the sounds in most games, they are either annoying or they are to repeative. In my opinion, this game gives a bit more sounds and it's defiantly not annoying. I don't like repeative music and other than entering the battle and a couple of other things in game it's not repeative and it has different variety, which I like very much! I don't think I would change the sounds in this game if I had a chance, I don't even think I would add new music. It's great just the way it is.
Addictiveness (10) I would have to say this game is very much  addictive. I thought I was addicted to some things but once I start playing this I spend hours at a time playing it. I think I have got more used to it sense I have played it for so many years. Other Pokémon games I only stay on them for a certain amount of time 2 hours at max with Pokémon Silver I spend multiple hours 4-6 hours a day. It's very fun and it gets my spirit of playing going every time I play. I would get in trouble several nights for staying up past my bed time playing this game. I would be warned over and over lights out, time to go to bed and eventually I would get yelled at. I don't think anybody would deny that is very addicted to something.
Story (8) The Story of this game is pretty much like every other Pokémon game. You start out at your moms house and you go over to professor oaks house and gain a new Pokémon. After you run a couple of errands for professor oak and come back to his house you battle your first nemesis. It's quite interesting how most Pokémon games are pretty much the same. The story is the same but it never really gets boring. A lot of times if a certain games story is similar to the rest I don't really enjoy it as much as that first time. With Pokémon games it's a lot different for me. I would really recommend somebody just trying this because of it's story. I would want it to be everyone's first game just like me!
Depth (9) The depth of this game is pretty large in my opinion. You have plenty of things to do and plenty of battles to encounter during the game. It's open and a wide world and the way they have it animated creates an even bigger world with things to do. I don't think they could add a lot more details to this game. If they did it might make it a bit sloppy or to long. It has  loads of battles tons of things to run through in
game which makes it hours of fun!
Difficulty (7) This game is not really hard to me. I think if your new trying it out for the first time a couple of things you might not understand once you get to fighting Pokémon's and different trainer's. When I first tried it, it wasn't hard at all. There was a couple of parts I didn't understand though. I eventually figured out how to do those parts and get past it. Hey though it was my first Pokémon Game :P Eventually the game becomes really easy and most times if you have the right levels you can fly right through. This is just my opinion though.
Overall (10) This game over all  I give a 10! It's pretty awesome. There is plenty of things to do plus I would recommend this to pretty much anybody. It has plenty of fast pace action and fun game play. I am 18 and I started playing this game when I was about 8 and my views still haven't change. It's colorful and gives a spark still when I play just for fun even. I usually try to stay away from it on some days because if I don't I will end up spending way to much time playing it. I hope you try it out one day if you haven't already, I promise you won't regret it!
Anyways,
Bintsy<33

Pokemon Silver Review   starwars293
Hello people, this is starwars293. This time,I am reviewing Pokemon Silver for the Game Boy Color. A great classic of the Pokemon world. So many great Pokemon like Golem, the three starter Pokemon and all the other Pokemon. The legendary Pokemon in this game are pretty good. I did play this game on PlayR(this was back then when I didn't know about Vizzed) and I played Soul Silver on the DS.
This was a wonderful game to play.In fact, this was the first Pokemon game I've played out of all of the ones that were released. This game was my favorite Pokemon game and it still is. I still play it. Some of my friends at school stopped playing Pokemon ever since they beaten Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. The other two 2nd generation games,Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Crystal, well I have played them, but I haven't beaten them.
I have been a Pokemon addict ever since I beat this game. I've watched the series, learn my Pokemon and all those stuff. However,we can talk about this later. I have to pretty much review this game. Well anyways,Pokemon Silver is an great game. It has new Pokemon like Chikorita,Mareep and other cool Pokemon. They even brought back some of the 1st generation Pokemon like Magikarp,Golem and Zubat. They even have a new region in this game called Johto.
The game stills has the same attacks. They even added new legendary Pokemon. Those Pokemon are Lugia,Raikou,Entei,Suicune and Ho-oh. They can be useful during the game. They can help you with going against the Elite four. The Elite four is pretty tough,so before you go up against them,I recommend to train all of your Pokemon to level 50 or over level 50. That's just a tip when you fight the Elite four and the champion, Lance.
The usual on how to get to the Elite four is by having to get eight gym badges. How you get them is from the Gym leaders of each city/village. If you win the badge, that means you get Pokemon over that certain level to obey you and you can use a HM move. You even get a TM move from the gym leaders when you win. That is pretty awesome. Even on your way to be the Pokemon master, you find new Pokemon, learn new moves and meet new friends, and one rival.
Your rival pretty much starts out as being so mean like he'll be the one being the best and strongest trainer in the whole region. Looks like his wish doesn't come true after you beat the champion,so yeah. Later on during the game,he starts to become nicer to you and becomes nicer to his Pokemon, since he uses Pokemon like tools for war or something like that. Now lets rate this review.
Graphics-The graphics are good really. Nothing wrong with it though. The only thing different from Red and Blue is that the game has color now.
Sound-The sound is great. It become epic when you fight Lance and Red from Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue
Addictivness-I would play this game again because why? To catch them all of course!
Story-A boy name Gold(Silver in Pokemon Gold)wants to be the Pokemon master and catch all of the Pokemon. He sets out on a quest to get all eight gym badges and beat the Elite four and the champion,Lance. He meets up with a mysterious boy when Gold is returning to New Bark Town. He later becomes your rival. Now he also wants to be the best trainer and the strongest of them all, also
Depth-The game offers new Pokemon,a new rival and new legendary Pokemon.
Difficulty-The game is kinda hard, but it's also fun to play. Lots of exciting challenges await you in the Pokemon world
Overall-A great game and hard game, but I would play it lots of times
Wrap things up-Pokemon Silver is a great and fun game. I would recommend that you would play it. If you liked it and you own a DS,get the remake,Pokemon Soul Silver. You might also like it
This has been another starwars293 review

Pokemon - Generation II   Dragonessa
Pokémon Silver (along with its companion Gold) heralded the birth of an entirely new generation of Pokémon, and with it an entirely new world to explore. These factors are what made this game one of the best the Gameboy had to offer. This was also the first of the Pokémon series to feature two lands to explore as opposed to just one that had been seen in the progenitors Red and Blue. These games set the bar for every Pokémon game to come after and there are many who believe that Generation II is the finest Pokémon game released to date. With over a hundred new Pokémon plus all the 150 from the First Generation to capture, you'll have your hands full trying to fill the Pokedex. The only way to successfully do this however is to trade between Silver and Gold versions and there are plenty of chances to do so.
You start the game in the Johto region and like all the games before, you get a choice of a Pokémon to start with and you go on an epic quest to catch all of the Pokémon, defeat the evil team that threatens them (in this case, Team Rocket again) and of course - go for the Pokémon League and become Champion. However this time the journey doesn't end there. With the addition of the Kanto region (the land that made Red and Blue version famous), a familiar land is up for exploration again along with 8 more badges to collect - adding up to a never-before-seen grand total of 16 badges. The gym leaders you previously beat in Kanto in Red and Blue also prove to be incredibly difficult opponents this time around, offering an intense challenge for only the most hardened of trainers.
Essentially, Silver and Gold brought some of the best features to the Pokémon franchise - opening the doors for the new games that would bring even more Pokémon and adventures for years to come!
Generation II finally got a reboot recently in the form of SoulSilver and HeartGold for the Nintendo DS. The update brought back the familiar worlds of Johto and Kanto, while adding more new features (Pokethlon, Pokewalker, etc.) to make the game even better than it was before. Game magazines the world over praised the update for its updated visuals and the ability to trade Pokémon in from Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, and Pearl versions. The update also brought back a familiar storyline from Pokémon Crystal - the tale of Suicune and one man's adventure to meet the Legendary Pokémon in the flesh.

Pokemon Silver- A Bar Raiser   ignavusd
The graphics of Pokémon Silver were revolutionary to the Pokémon games. Not only was the sprites and towns now in color, but effort put into detail is much more astute in these games compared to 1st generation. Compared to other games, not just Pokémon, this games graphics were in the top tier, perhaps in the top 10. Graphics have never been a problem for Pokémon games, between the inventive and creative forms of the Pokémon, to the peculiar ways they depict the actual attacks used.
The music and sound in this game is a step above 1st generation. The Pokémon's cries are now a cut above a simple pronunciation of the Pokémon's species. Now, it is as if there is a particular feeling that is hidden within each cry. The battle music is, as always, a perfect mood setter. Whether it's battling a Gym Leader or fighting a Legendary, the music is always a subtle touch that truly brings the game together.
Like all other Pokémon games, this game is highly addictive. Now with the capabilities of over 250 Pokémon, there are hundreds of possible teams to capture and train. You can play this game a hundred times, and use a different team each time, perhaps keeping 1 or 2 of your favorites. The possibilities are numerous, and the replay value is high.
Unfortunately, the main, glaring weakness of Pokémon games is the repetitive story. In the future, it is somewhat remedied by the introduction of spin-offs such as Mystery Dungeon and Ranger series. But for right now, the story is just rehashed in a new region with a large amount of new Pokémon. All it really is, it seems, is you going around catching Pokémon, building a team and striving to beat the Pokémon League. Not too much of a variation there, except for different Gym Leaders and the introduction of 2 new types, Dark and Steel.
While Pokémon may not shine in the story or plot department, the depth of it is immense. Just trying to catch all the Pokémon and complete the Pokedex can consume a HUGE portion of time. It was difficult in the 1st generation, now there is over 100 new Pokémon to do also. Then you can train a full team of 6 Pokémon to level 100, the highest level possible. A bonus point that the Silver game has over the 1st generation, and future generations, is that you get to visit 2 WHOLE regions. That's right, not 8, but 16 badges. You get to explore 2 regions, and battle each Gym Leader to boot.
The difficulty of all Pokémon games is merely how difficult you want it to be. With the large amount of Pokémon, it is obvious some will be naturally stronger than others. Therefore, if you want an easy game, or to speed through it, power leveling your starter, an Alakazam, and a Machamp can pretty much dominate the game. There are also additional challenges you can place on yourself. There are things called the Mono Type Challenge or the Nuzlocke Challenge. Both are fun twists on the normal Pokémon game.

one of the best pokemon games ever   goldcam109
During 1996 a little known game called Pokémon red and blue came out in game stores all over Japan. The games were called Pokémon Red and Green. The people who bought the game were surprised at the difference between the show of Pokémon and the game so a re release was issued called Pokémon blue. The game sold out within seconds of being stocked. The games were so popular they had no choice but to release a sequel but problems had come up.
1. They had a change from Pokémon 2 to Pokémon gold/ silver .
2.The game had been pushed back to 2000.
The Pokémon all had to be redesigned to look more realistic and new Pokémon were added even 2 new mechanics were added.
1. The new day and night system.
2. Chasing Pokémon Raikou/ Entei/ Suicune.
After that brief history lesson about Pokémon I'll Move on to the story
The story is based 2 years after the events of red, blue, green and yellow where a ten year old boy named Kenta starts his journey in new Bark town in the new region Johto the story is pretty much the same when all of a sudden you get a phone call from professor elm telling you that a disaster happened and that you get back to his lab immediately on the way you encounter your rival who has stolen a Pokémon and has the same goals as you. You are then told to take the gym challenge. When you get to azalea town you encounter a man standing in front of a well you later find out that he is in fact a team rocket grunt you don't see team rocket again until you get to mahogany town when three's a whole hideout under ground! You are then directed to under ground goldenrod where there is the Pokémon president who gives you the item to find the legendary Pokémon lugia. Once you have beaten the game you are permitted to challenge the kanto league who are at ridiculously high levels.  and once you've beaten both leagues and have gotten all 16 badges you must make the long trek up mount silver and fight a god amongst Pokémon trainers the legend that is RED! He will use his ultimate team consisting of
1. Pikachu
2. Venusaur
3. blastoise
4 charizard
5.snorlax
6. espeon
he doesn't say anything just ...
overall it has a great story, great visuals, a great style of gaming, perfect execution and gives me a nostalgic mind

Pokemon Silver Review   Marcmoney
Overall - 9.1
Pokémon Silver is a fun game to play.  I usually play Gold, but Silver is good too because of the legendary Pokémon. :)
Graphics - 8
It has good graphics.  At least it has more color than Red and Blue.
Sound - 7
The sound is good, but it sometime gets annoying with the high tones and the repeat. :S
Addictiveness - 8
I would play this game again.  I wouldn't start all over once I beat it, I would probably catch all the Pokémon's and do extra things that are in the game.
Story - 10
The story is basically the same for all Pokémon games.  It still is a good story though. :)
Depth - 10
The game is big, just like the other Pokémon games.
Difficulty - 4
The game is easier from what I think.  It is the same as the other Pokémon.
Wrap Things Up...
Pokémon Silver is the same game as Gold.  I usually play HeartGold, but Pokemon Silver is pretty much the same as HeartGold.  I highly recommend this game if you rather have Lugia than Ho-Oh. :)

Pokemon Silver   supercool22
Pokemon Silver Version : Game Review by supercool22
Release Date : 2000
System : Game Boy Color
Publisher : Nintendo
Developer : Game Freak
Genre : Role Playing Game ( RPG )
What i know about this game ?
So far , what i know about this game is that Pokemon Silver was first released in the year of 2000 . It was made for the Game Boy Color ( GBC ) and was published by Nintendo . The Developer was Game Freak ( we all know about Game Freak if you know a lot about Pokemon ) , Game Freak was the developer of most of the pokemon games . Also Pokemon Silver is Role Playing Game ( RPG ) and everyone on vizzed know that . Now lets get to the categories .
Overall : 10
Pokemon Crystal is a great pokemon game , but i don't really play this that much because i play Pokemon Crystal way more . I play Pokemon Silver once in a While , if i don't have to much to do on vizzed or if im bored . Like i said before the game is great .
Graphics : 7
Well i can't say that the graphics are bad because the graphics are good for many reason i can't of . The graphics are great for the year it was made and the system it was made for . It has the same graphics as Gold and Crystal version .
Sound : 8
One thing i will like to say is that the sound or music is awesome . I Like the music from Pokemon Silver Version better than my Pokemon Soul Silver because the music is more original . I don't care if the music sounds more better in Soul Silver , i like Pokemon Silver music better .
Addictiveness : 8
Pokemon Silver is very addictive because im a pokemon fan and every pokemon fan plays the same pokemon all of the time , maybe . I play Pokemon Silver a few times because I play pokemon Crystal more like i said before not to long ago . But any way this game is very addictive to many people . ( not only on vizzed ) .
Story : 8
Lets see whats the story is . Basically the story of the game is that you start your pokemon adventure has a regular trainer . You have to beat the gym leaders , and Battle trainer to get stronger and become a pokemon master . Maybe that is tge story to me but maybe to every one .
Depth : 8
The Depth of the game is the same as all of the pokemon game . The game offers many things like Battling trainers , Catching and trainer your pokemon , Defeating Gym leaders and finally beating the Elite Four . That all it offers to everyone who play this pokemon game maybe more . But the Depth of this game is great .
Difficulty : 5
Pokemon Silver is not actually a hard pokemon to play , its quite easy indeed but its only hard if its your first time playing pokemon . Its a easy anyway and sorry if there is not detail for the difficulty .
Well this is another good review that is done and i hope you have a great time and sorry if there is not that much details , i will try harder next time . :D

OK, I have always enjoyed this game series and after I did Pokémon yellow I felt like I needed to do another poke-view (Pokémon review).  The story is great. I love that fact that your rival is almost a villain!  I also love the fact that after 3 years team rocket reforms again after red beat boss rocket in the first Gen.  The new gym leaders are strong in this new land of Johto and with a new region comes new Pokémon and new starters along with a new tro.  This one also introduces my favorite Pokémon Typhlosion!  Don't forget about the new legendaries too Lugia and Ho-Oh these are nice additions to series.  Add on to all of that after you beat Johto you get to go back to kanto!  that means with all the new you get to see all of the old too!

Pokemon Silver Review   Pokegeek
Ah, Pokemon Silver. My very first Pokemon game. So many memories are stored in this one game. Isn't is amazing how a video game or movie can make us so moved in so many ways and feel so many emotions? Like happy, sad, cheerful, sorrowful? It takes just one game to completely override our emotions, yet it takes many to truly change them...What the hell am I talking about, lets get on with it.
Okay, so first we have-Graphics, which I am gonna give a 10(comparing it to other games such as Harry Potter or Rayman which were out at the time). The appearances of Pokemon can range from Cute to Terrifying, Innocent to Horrific, Playful to Violent, in some cases. And the natural environment looks so fresh and clean and colourful compared to Gen I. The graphics have had a HHUUGGEE update from Gen I, and so have...
...The Sounds, which I am gonna give a 10. This game has so many nostalgic tunes which recall memories of a six year old me struggling to get past Sudowoodo, or a seven year old me struggling to beat the Champion, or an eight year old me after just defeating you know who on you know what mountain. And also, the legendary Pokemon have different themes. That gave me a shock when I first heard Raikou's theme, and then seeing it run away straight afterwards. One thing I didn't like about the sounds was the pokemon cries. I mean, Sudowoodo's actually disturbed me for some reason. But that's a personal reason, I won't downgrade the sound just for that. I actually got addicted to his cry, which leads me to...
...Addictiveness! Which I am going to give (another) 10. I just knew all along that there was something to ensure Gen II went out with a bang bigger than Bonfire Night. So I just kept playing and playing, defeating Gym Leaders, overcoming obstacles, and challenging the Elite Four. And then, after I defeated them, I got a phone call from Professor Elm...I'll leave you to find that out...But this game practically ensnares you with all the regions charm...and it has a...
...Great Story! ...Which, for some reason, I am going to rate a 8. It is very good, and has tons of special events, and even has a few surprises here and there, but...I felt like some places were simply devoid of storyline...I mean, Mt.Mortar. Does anything happen there? Nope. And you can just surf right around it. Nothing happens in Cherrygrove City, either. Or Ice Path. These places have nothing to do with the story, just minor obstacles. However...
...There is much more Depth than the Gen 1 games. There are so many things to enter and do. Bug Catching Contest, Listening to Radio, Finding the Three Beasts, 100 More Pokemon, Solving the Mystery of Alph, and many more. Eventually, you will get to meet an old face. I'm giving Depth a 9. And now for the short part...
...Difficulty. Not much to say, it isn't difficult, you just need to be patient enough to train them up and do a few puzzles. The Pokedex is quite difficult. But there isn't really much else to say...I'm giving it a 3.
So, that's my second review done. Let's do a recount: Graphics-10  Sounds-10  Addictiveness-10  Story-8  Depth-9  Difficulty-3
The overall rate(according to the mean, where all numbers are added up and then divided by the amount of values there are) should be.....8.3, a above average score.

ONE OF THE BEST GBC GAMES   speedy gonzalez
Pokemon Silver Review
Pokemon Silver is defenantly one of the best GBC games as there is lots of cool things and Pokemon to catch in it. Pokemon gold is basically the same but you get the chance to catch ho-oh before lugia so it doesn't matter which one. you play because you can still catch the same Pokemon
Story Outline
The story outline of this game is really good and some of the things that people say are really funny. One of the main reasons that i really like about this game is that you start in Jhoto and after the Pokemon league you can go to Kanto. you can also get the starters from the Jhoto region and the Kanto region in this game but you can only get the Kanto starters once you have caught 200 Pokemon (it is not impossible as there is 251 Pokemon in the game).
Differences from other Pokemon games
There are some unique differences in this game that are not in other Pokemon games (not including crystal and gold) like that at night there are some Pokemon that you could catch at other times. another difference is that there are many events from the anime series like the bug competition and team rocket in the well, but some of them have been changed a bit. there is a very useful tip that quite a lot of people know and the tip is that you can fast forward the time!! when i say fast forward i don't mean press the space bat i mean that you can actually fast forward TIME. it can be very useful when your waiting for Kurt to make a poke ball for you or to search for Pokemon at night.(if you want to know how to do it and other tips go to the bottom of the page where the tips and guide is).
Sound and spritesthe sound in this game is very good, but the sprites are bad for the Pokemon. there are about 8 different sprites for the Pokemon they look like oddish, beedrill, quagsire, some sort of cat thing and i cant remember the rest so yeah they are bad. the sound is good, the gym battles sounds are good and the general music for all of it is good. i think this is the first game where the legendarys get their own battle music.
Overall Review
overall i think this game is really good so if you love Pokemon games you should play this game because it is lots of peoples favorite game and that is probably why they made soul silver because it was so good
Tips
Fast forward time- go on your poke gear and just press up or down on the page where it shows the time.
Evolve eevee into espeon or umbreon- make eevee happy by giving it haircuts in the underground place in goldenrod city and level it up to about level 45.
Night Pokemon- hoothoot, poliwag, noctowl, spinarak, ariados.
Morning Pokemon- sentret and furret.
Rivals Pokemon- rival usually has haunter, golbat, sneasal  and starter.
Apricorn Pokeballs- white=fast ball red=level ball pink=love ball black=moon ball blue=lure ball and i
don't remember how to get heavy ball and friend ball

Easily a Top 10 Game of the Game Boy Color   tyranit
Hello everyone, Tyranit here with another Retro Game Review! Today I am going to be reviewing my favorite Game Boy Color game of all time, Pokemon Silver! There will be spoilers in the Story section of the review, so if you haven't heard the story for a Pokemon game, skip it if you want to experience it for yourself.
Graphics - 9 - I give the graphics a 9 out of 10 because equivalent to other games on this handheld console, this game has more vibrant and vivid colors than the likes of Mega Man Xtreme or Pokemon Trading Card Game. I do think this holds up well compared to other consoles of this time such as the Sega Game Gear, Sega Nomad, Wonderswan Color, etc, as those consoles wished they could get a game half as good looking as Pokemon Silver. Sonic Blast for the Game Gear does come close to beating this in graphics though.
Sound - 9 - I give the sounds and music a 9 out of 10 because the music never gets repetitive, it is upbeat when it needs to be, spooky when it needs to be, and overall just makes you feel good. I also like the sound effects such as getting an item, but of course, we have the annoying health warning whenever you have your Hit Points in the red, it beeps and beeps and does not let you hear how good the battle music is. My favorite song in this game has to go the the Champion Lance/ Pokemon Trainer Red Theme because it is the most upbeat, fast song in the game.
Addictiveness & Replay Value - 8 - I give the addictive part of the game an 8 out of 10 because you can battle friends with a link cable, and that is insanely fun if you are the competitive type of person like me. I also appreciate the ability to fight trainers over and over again by them calling you with the Poke Gear. I think this game also has a very high replay value, as you can go through the game with different teams, or not using your starter. You can even do self imposed challenges like the beloved Nuzlocke run, which is basically, if your Pokemon faints, it is considered dead and must be released as soon as possible, or put into a dead box in the PC. There are other challenges too, such as the Wedlocke, which means it is the same as the Nuzlocke, but you have to have 3 males, 3 females, and you must put them into pairs or 1 male and 1 female Pokemon. These are only meant for a challenge, as you don't have to play the game that way.
Story - 7 - The story has never really been a big part of Pokemon games because it is usually
1. Get Pokemon from Professor Oak, Elm, Birch, etc.
2. Challenge Pokemon Gyms and get Gym Badges
3. Challenge Elite Four and Champion, and become the region's Pokemon Master.
This game has more than that though, that is why it is scored higher than what I would score normal Pokemon games. It has a side plot of Team Rocket trying to find Giovanni, the previous leader of the evil organization, and take over the Johto AND Kanto regions, yeah you heard me, TWO REGIONS! So you get an added two steps in the regular storyline
4. Challenge Kanto Pokemon Gyms and get another 8 Gym Badges
5. Challenge Elite Four and Champion again, with higher leveled Pokemon, to become League Champion again.
This is where it gets interesting though, as Professor Oak calls you and tells you to go to Mt. Silver. Here, you can fight the strongest trainer in all of Pokemon history (besides his level buff in Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver) Red. He has over Level 80 Pokemon! Yeah, Level 80! You have to spend hours of grinding to get to that level, but luckily, if you are good enough, you can overcome him with Level 60 Pokemon, and complete the whole game. It takes me at least 10 to 15 hours just to beat this whole Game Boy Color game, not even console games were this long at the time, and some games now are not even that long! That just tells you how good this game really is.
Depth - 10 - I think we know how the depth is at a perfect 10, now do we! I think that it makes sense that it took a whole year to make this game because it is so, so darn long. I really appreciate long games, as I get my money's worth, well, viz's worth. I just wish the Pokemon games would do this again, but with being able to visit all of the regions, but now I am getting sidetracked.
Difficulty - Varies - This game is not difficult at all if you know what level you need to be at the correct time, but in the later half in Kanto, the difficulty is spiked with Level 50+ Pokemon, which you haven't seen before. As I have stated clearly in the review previously, you can do challenges to increase the difficulty like Nuzlockes, Wedlockes, Solo Runs, One type Runs, One Generation Runs, and so much more.
Overall - 9.5 - I think this game has been called one of the best Pokemon games right up there with the likes of Pokemon Red and Blue, X and Y, and others I have neglected to mention.
Pokemon Gold is the other game that was released along with Pokemon Silver, but does that make it the same? A little, but not actually! Pokemon Gold has version specific Pokemon, as does Pokemon Silver, and it has Ho-Oh as the catchable legendary Pokemon instead of Lugia. It doesn't have that many differences though.
There was also another thing I would like to mention, which would be the actual Pokemon that were introduced in this generation. Legendary Pokemon such as Lugia, Ho-Oh, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, and Celebi were all introduced in this generation. Not very many over powered Pokemon came from this generation, but this generation definitely had some walls such as Umbreon, Shuckle, and Steelix. The starter Pokemon, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile are all good Pokemon in the game too. Cyndaquil is the easy mode of the game, Totodile is the normal mode, and Chikorita is the hard mode in terms of how powerful the Pokemon actually are. None of the starters' evolutions are dual typed, unlike Venusaur and Charizard from Generation 1. I also appreciate some other regular Pokemon that were introduced in this generation, such as Ampharos being a powerful electric type Pokemon, Steelix being the hard hitting but wall of Steel type Pokemon. That is yet another thing I have neglected to mention, two new types were added to the game to balance the Pokemon out. Dark type was so Psychic could not kill everything, and Steel was to have something defensive that was not weak to Ground, Water, or Grass. The Special stat was also split into Special Attack and Special Defense, which nerfed some Pokemon, but made some other ones stronger, such as Alakazam could do more damage, but take less Special hits, and Hypno became a Special Defensive wall, making it useless compared to himself in Pokemon Red and Blue.
These games were also remade into the Generation 4 family with Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, which added new game play mechanics to the mix, such as EV's, IV's, Pokemon Olympics or Pokeathalon (I do not know how it is spelled) It also added the ability to get Generation 3 and 4 Pokemon, such as the catchable Groudon and Kyogre, and if you get both, Rayquaza. You can also catch Latios or Latias as a roaming legendary Pokemon. The Johto Leaders, Elite Four, Champion Lance, Kanto Leaders, Red, and just about every other trainer in the game got a level boost. Introduced in Generation 4 was the Physical Special split that caused moves that a Pokemon had to approach the other Pokemon and attack was a physical attack, and something with projectiles or psychic abilities was a special attack, which made the Generation 1 and 2 Pokemon in the first half of the game have to be careful about what moves that they had on their Pokemon, as each is either more physical or more special, but sometimes both. You can also port over your Generation 3 Pokemon to Heart Gold and Soul Silver because a Pal Park was added to the map, making it easier to obtain missing Generation 1, 2, and 3 Pokemon that you have not added to your Pokedex, but you can only do this after you beat the Elite Four and Champion for the first time. The Battle Frontier was also added into the game, making more challenges to extend the replay value and fun of the game, as they are hard and take some time to win. You can also trade between Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum to obtain Generation 4 Pokemon easier, and this also requires you to have beaten the Elite Four and Champion at least once.
Anyway, I hope you have read me ramble on about things that probably don't have anything to do with this review, but I would not expect you to read the whole thing, as it is over 1500 words long. I am Tyranit, and I will see you next review!

The Golden Age of Pokemon   TrollStoneProdu..
Pokemon Silver. Just the name reminds of the best Pokemon experience I (and many others) have ever had. If you started your Pokemon adventure with this game, everything was new, it was fresh, exciting! Everything was appealing, you wondered what was to come, and the idea of A legendary Pokemon awaiting you was awesome, and could be quite nerve-wracking. I don't know about anyone else, but I would stare at the 16-bit Lugia just wondering what it could do, and what it's abilities were. If you started Pokemon on the First Gen games, you could really appreciate how improved the game was. The color and sprites were more detailed, the Pokemon amount nearly doubled, and the story had the genius addition of traveling to Kanto and defeating it's Gym Leaders and Pokemon League. The region had many new things, crevices cave, and even oceans to explore, it truly did not disappoint those with high expectations for the long awaited 2nd Generation of Pokemon. This was my first experience with a handheld game, and definitely my best and most memorable. So please, I encourage you to try this game out, and if you feel like it, play the first gen games and weigh the differences.

Pokemon Silver (GBC)   StuffAllstar
Hello and welcome to my Pokemon Sliver Review! Its been a while since i last reviewed so i decided to start off with this game!
Graphics-8
For a game made for the Game Boy Color the graphics are not that bad. Even when walking around or in a battle you can tell the difference from the last 3 games! Thats why i rate it a whopping 8
Sound-8
The sound of the game is beautiful just plain beautiful. After every time i play this the songs are always stuck in my head from the first route you walk on, to the Champions music (which is the BEST) the sound can't be beat! Thus i rate it a 8
Addictiveness-10
I would play this game for hours as a kid! i would always fight and train and eventually would beat the game, after beating it i would start a new game and play through the game differently each time! Tis why i rate this a 10!
Story-6
In this game are the Team Rocket members and the gyms and and and the.....you know what there really isn't much of a story. Besides Team Rocket and accomplishing your goal of becoming the champion and learning of 2 legendary birds there's not that much.
Depth-9
The game has alot to offer for those who are new to Pokemon. you can Travel through TWO regions and can catch many pokemon. After cathcing them all level them up to 100 and battle your friends! With so much to offer i rate this a 9.
Difficulty-5
The game isn't difficult nor easy it is just  right!(shut up all you immature people). As you play along the game gets more and more difficult and then eventually you will win. Thus i rate 5.
Overall-9.7
Although the stroy and difficulty are low i shall stil rate this a 9.7! With graphics great and the sound quality good we will finish this review with a 9.7 yup a 9.7.....

Poke'mon Silver   Kyle!
Now, for my first Pokemon review this is one most teenagers played as a kid. Most teenagers were kids during the Pokemon Red, and Blue (Not including Green), started this great franchise that made GameFreak in business today. Pokemon Silver (And Gold plus Silver) were called the best Pokemon classics, they featured two regions worth of badges (Sixteen, because every region has eight gyms) , Johto, the first region. And Kanto region, a great add-on from the classics! Now the game play is great, you can experience fast battle, good story, and a fun a'after game' that grabbed many young kids. Now this game (And Gold, aside from Crystal) has been remade to SoulSilver (While people including me, demand a Ruby/Sapphire) , and is now becoming downgraded because of the new sequel to Black/White that will soon make kids and teenagers returning to the series drop their copies of SoulSilver/HeartGold, and play Black and White 2 (An odd name for a Pokemon sequel) . So this concludes this review on Silver, I hope you will take the time to play this game in the Retro game room and enjoy yourself!

Favorite Pokemon Game   SlowRom
Pokémon Silver is deep down my favorite Pokémon Game. Silver Gold and Crystal are honestly the best of the best Pokémon games. This was a major leap from the first Pokémon games it was up to date with phones, custom poke balls, radios, and so many new Pokémon to capture. Another great detail is this is basically 2 games in a row. Once you have beaten Johto you may go and revisit Kanto from the first generation of Pokémon and see how much it has changed. The plot once again has its different courses traveling from place to place. But the main plot I believe and love is chasing after Team Rocket and that Pokémon Thief who becomes your Rival. Team Rocket and your Rival make the game so much more dark and that's what I love about a Pokémon game is how dark it can get. There are happy times, sad times, and just plain frustrating times. The biggest Challenge you will honestly have is Legendary catching. Sure Lugia and HoHo are easy since they hold still, But Entei, Raikou and Suicune, good luck is all I can say. I remember as a kid Always chasing them down and trying everything to catch them. There are so many Pokémon in this game its amazing so this is the question you need to ask your self, "Are you ready to catch them all and be the best you can be?"

Pokemon Silver   marcus047
Game Background- This is gamefreak's 6th installment in the Pokemon franchise for Japan and gamefreak's 5th installment in the Pokemon franchise for America. The game picks up multiple years after the Kanto region in the all new Johto region. In this game it's an all new elite 4 with a new champion and gym leaders ect, but instead of Koga(as seen in Kanto as a gym leader) this time around he is an elite 4 member. The game has some interesting new features such as the phone and the day and night feature which only added to the diversity in Pokemon you will encounter.
Graphics- The game have has shown a remarkable improvement on graphics compared to what was seen in previous installments in the franchise. The pokemon now have color when they enter battle and instead of the town all being one color(as seen in older games in the franchise), this time each item/building in town has its on color like what you would see in real life. Also the graphic pixal wise have had an update, the pokemon actually look like how you would see them when you look them up in the Pokedex and show a better more clear description of them(they actually look like what they are suppose to be). So for graphics I gave the game a 10 out 10.
Sound-The games soundtrack changes with the passing thru each town/area. They are no distortions or irregularity's in the sound as far as pitch and acoustics go(unless you use speed bar), although the soundtrack is all new, it does get a little annoying to hear after awhile to listen to especially you get into a lot of wild Pokemon battles. So for sound I gave the game a 10 out of 10.
Addictiveness- I'm very likely to play this game again because of it's story and it's extra perks like not just being able to beat through Johto gym's, the game also allows you to go back to Kanto and re-beat some of Kanto's gyms as well. The new pokemon also play's a part in the games addictiveness, with there looks and stats it really had me wanting to catch'em all. So for addictiveness I gave the game a 9 out of 10.
Story-The story starts off not quite like other Pokemon games, instead of going off into the grass and having the professor chase you down and stop you and for your own protection gives you a pokemon, instead you are asked a favor by the professor to go and get something for him in a far off town. The infamous and notorious international criminal organization  known as team rocket makes a come back in the Johto region in this game where as they were crippled in the Kanto region. The story is quite long with its technically two regions in the game, Kanto and Johto, and there is plenty to keep you entertained for an extended period of time. So for story I gave this game a 10 out of 10.
Depth-The game is huge with it's two regions in game, it offers plenty of things to do like battle well over 8 gym's, play in the game corner, enter Pokemon catching completions, and or catch rare pokemon in the safari zone. The game does take a considerable amount of time to beat i estimate a time of any where from 3-4 days if you play the game for maybe 1-2 hours a day. So for depth i gave the game a 10 out of 10.
Difficulty-Well the game isn't very difficult till you reach the champion of the elite 4. The champion's battle style and Pokemon stats seem far superior over mostly any Pokemon you use and the A.I. seems substantially harder and does formulate and execute a near perfect battle plan to utterly defeat you with nearly no gaps in its defenses. But seeing on how only the champion of the elite 4 is one of the only real challenges I gave the games difficulty a 6 out of 10.
Overall- Overall I give the game a 9.6 out of 10, because the game is very entertaining and has some very good new features on it which only made the games overall feel and appeal go up. With its updated graphics and better story line and plot this is easily one of the best Pokemon games ever made.

Pokemon Silver Review   Divine Aurora

"Not bad, combines two generations very well and has two regions Johto and Kanto(yes you can travel to both) this is something rarely seen in the Pokemon franchise". Gamefreak Inc. Really did go above and beyond what was expected of them and managed to improve upon graphics, and features. Some new features introduced in Pokemon Silver version is the day & night feature, pokegear, the telephone.
"So how do the graphics in Silver Crystal Version compare to graphics seen in earlier Pokemon games, and what has changed?". Well for starters everything is completely descriptive and in full color. Unlike what was seen in previous installments in the Pokemon franchise where the towns and every object in them are all the same color including your character, in Pokemon Silver every object in town has its own distinctive color and is in clean cut animation. The bodies of water move in a wave like motion as if wind is blowing on the water. They now have two types of tree's in Pokemon Silver and you can clearly tell the difference in the two types because of there easily distinctive in their texture and the proportion in there size. The buildings, and scenery are breath taking in realistic looking in design and colorization, I felt as though I could walk right into the towns and felt closer to the Pokemon and the Pokemon battle scenes. The Pokemon sprites have gotten a well needed update and can be easily made out and is in near perfect design color wise and form wise and can be seen in above average detail from every angle.
"What's the sound like in Pokemon Silver?". The soundtrack alternates from town to town, route to route and can be heard rather well, each town has its own music/song or tone to it which really helps shape the mood. Even during a Pokemon battle, the fast pace music has the gamer feeling on edge wondering if they will win or lose. Pokemon battle cries are still unique and distinctive and each Pokemon has there own distinct sound and there's not one Pokemon with the same similar cry. When out on water a certain breezy claim music plays which makes the gamer feel like they are actually in the water.
"How addicted to Pokemon Silver were you?, Is it something you would play again?". I for one was highly addicted to Pokemon Silver Version because it was a whole new region(Johto) and not to mention but you could go back to the Kanto region and beat some of its gyms.So with a total of 10 or 12 gyms and both new and old legendary Pokemon, Pokemon Silver Version had me amused for hours upon end craving more. Furthermore I would diffidently play this game again any day simply because it offered a new story with old returning foes and a whole new challenge.
"So with out reveling to much what is the story like in Pokemon Silver Version?". The story is simply phenomenal , complete edge of your seat excitement and fun so enjoy. The story takes place years after what happened in Kanto, your a raising young man or lady and you have just turned 12 today so it's time to set off on your grand adventure/ journey. The Pokemon Professor Elm has asked you to come down to his lab so you can do a small favor to him and upon doing that he gives you your first Pokemon. So your off and set on your grand new adventure in the Johto region where many new and tough challenges await you and your Pokemon, a(n) all new elite four challenge, if you think is going to be another cake walk like what was seen in the Kanto region you are sadly mistaken. In addition you think you have gotten rid off and disbanded the evil origination know only as team rocket by simply defeating there boss once back all those years ago back in Kanto well they are back and better than ever with all new seemingly invincible Pokemon and are rage bent on capturing and enslaving all Pokemon and people in the Johto region.
"So know that we know the story how about the depth how big is Pokemon Silver?". Well Pokemon Silver is a relatively big game, it has over 10 gyms both from the new region of Johto and the old region of Kanto. Pokemon Silver has a decent amount of legendary Pokemon to hunt down and capture, all three legendary dogs(Entie, Suicone, and Riaku), and Lugia. The game takes a considerable amount of time to beat with all the little side actions you have the option of doing, you'll be occupied fishing here and there, catching Pokemon in tournaments, or doing so gambling winning coins in the game corner to buy exclusive items, and Pokemon and not to mention batting over 10 gyms and taking on the elite four.
"How's the difficulty on Pokemon Silver Version is it hard or moderately easy?" Well Pokemon Silver Version starts out easy but the difficulty gradually increases over time and before you know it you could find you self out classed and out leveled, so train often. The gyms start to get really tough if you don't have the type advantage and don't be fooled, gym leaders will throw out Pokemon really under leveled and then when they get to their last one it will be high leveled then most of the ones you beat combined. The elite four has really stepped up their game this time around, and the new champion uses a certain type that most trainers might not be so familiar with so train hard and create a well balanced team!In addiction the games A.I doesn't make as many clueless mistakes and will not make it easy on you to over come its own skill.
"Overall how do you feel about Pokemon Silver?"Overall I think Pokemon Silver really improved upon and quite frankly set the standards for Pokemon games to come and goes above and beyond with its features, animations and storyline/plot.Furthermore I would recommend Pokemon Silver to any fan of the Pokemon franchise both of the older and newer generation.

Pokemon Silver Cheat Codes

Duplicate Pokemon
You can duplicate pokemon whether or not it holds an item. Get to a computer and save it, making sure that you have atleast one more room for the cloned pokemon. Deposite the poke'mon that you want to duplicate. Now change boxes, when you change you'll automatically save, so say yes when it asks you to save. When it says "Saving, don't turn off the power", turn it off then on. When you gain control, you'll be holding the regular pokemon and there will be the cloned pokemon in Bill's PC. Use this glitch at your own risk, as it is possible to corrupt save data.

Freeze your Game Clock
This is strange, but also permanent, so only do this if you want your clock to remain set on a certain day. To do this, go to Vermillion City and talk to the Machop that is stomping on the ground. After you talk to him, open your Pack, go to Coin Case, and look at how many coins you have. Your game will either freeze or reset, so you must reset if it freezes. When you do, your game clock will be frozen in that exact time unless you use another code to change the time, which is possible.

Get all three starters
First start a new game. Then after you have selected a starter pokemon, work your way through the game, not saving at all, until you can catch pokemon. Catch any other pokemon then deposit your starter into the PC box. After that, change boxes and when it asks you to save click "yes". When it starts saving reset(or turn off) the game. When you go on your main file the starter should be in the box that it was placed in. Make sure before you do this glitch to go on your main file and move the number one pokemon in the box, as the starter will replace it. Use this glitch at your own risk, it can mess up game data.

Easy Breeding
If you capture a Ditto you can use that for breeding. The Ditto will act as the female, so you wont have to get two of each type of Pokemon that you want the baby form of it. For Example just breed a Ditto and a Pikachu, and you will get a Pichu.
